Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have had painful knees/legs for many years. I'm 59. The most recent surgeon wants to replace both knees at the same time. Have others had this done? I know recovery will be hard but I'll only have to do it once if I have both done at the same time. But then I think - can I stand so much pain at once? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
Hi Califgranny , On one of the e-mails there was a guy I forgot his name well he had both his knees done at the same time well after the operations he found out he couldn't bend either of his legs and the dr couldn't get them to bend now hes too afraid to have a differant knee replacement if it was me I would have tried to have a differant replacement in one knee at least this guy was only in his thirtys I had a Hip replacement done four years ago that didn't go well and I had a knee replacement done I think the Knee went better then the Hip but people are not the same so you could have your knee replacement done and everything could go ok and it also depends of your dr.Well you have a nice I wish you the best of luck for your operations . Guest guest
Hi everyone, HI CALIGRANNY I have had painful knees/legs for many years. I'm 59. I'M 72. The most recent surgeon wants to replace both knees at the same time. Have others had this done? THERE ARE A COUPLE ON HERE WHO HAVE DONE BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. WHEN I WAS ABOUT YOUR AGE, I HAD ARTHROSCOPY DONE TO BOTH KNEES AT THE SAME TIME. I know recovery will be hard but I'll only have to do it once if I have both done at the same time. EXACTLY!! I THINK YOU CAN DO THIS. IF YOUR DOCTOR IS FOR IT, HE KNOWS YOU CAN DO IT. But then I think - can I stand so much pain at once? THE PAIN IS MANAGED MUCH BETTER NOW. I HAVE HAD OXYCODONE. IT TOOK THE PAIN COMPLETELY AWAY, YET LEFT ME IN CONTROL OF MY BRAIN. BE SURE YOU TAKE YOUR PILLS AN HOUR BEFORE ANY THERAPY. IF THEY FORGET, YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER. Any help will be greatly appreciated. YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. WE WILL ALL HELP YOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND. HUGS MARGE HE LIVES!
Guest guest
hi.. I had to have both knees replaced but my doctor wouldnt do it so I just had the worse knee done first and in a way Iam not sure how people delt with the pain and getting around with both knees but I know alot of people do it. I waited 10months apart and now going in the hospital Tuesday to have the right knee now done. Dreading it all over again but I now know what to expect and hopefully next year will be a better year for me! > > Hi everyone, I have had painful knees/legs for many years.
