Do you mean you can't even have a % key on your calculator??? That will be hard

to find!

Calculators

I have three basic calculators and they all have % on them?Ive

searched and can't seem to find a calculator without the %.Anybody

know a store that sells them.

Thanks,(aka man of many calculators)

Here is the reply I received from pctb:

Any of the basic (most inexpensive) calculators that you can pick-up

will be fine. The guidelines stipulate that you cannot use a

scientific

calculator that allows you to store formulas.

Dear All,

Especially , man of many calculators!

I hope that I have not worried you unnecessarily. I took my exam in

l996 and we were told no calculators with percent signs. They were

easier to find back then. Today, I have not seen a basic calculator

with out one. But what I wanted to get across is that if you had one

to bring it and that it would be more acceptable. But with the answer

that you got from PTCB I would go with what you have and take a copy

of that email. In fact anyone else concerned go ahead and take a copy

of that email/post with ya. I am sure they too are aware that 'no

one' can find such an animal.

I hope this helps calm you down!

Sorry for the confusion,

Jeanetta

Maureen,

If you're talking about on-lin lye calculators I like the one here:

http://www.the-sage.com/calcs/lyecalc2.php

It has good information with it.

Creekside Soaps

calculators

Can someone provide instructions on, or post a link to instructions, for

using online calculators?

Hi again

when i got my confirmation letter for the ptcb in July they stated

only a calculator that has + - x and divide but the calculator i use

has + - x divide % and square root . It is not programable nor does

it print . Will they allow this? I don't want to get there and have

them tell me I can't use it. I would panic big time since MATH is

not my strong point.I have an 800 # to call but I thought you would

know. I love your site and all the HARD WORK you put into it. You

are VERY appreciated.

Pam
