Many folks seem to think this is the best one on the market. I use the WFN oil and do think it's fantastic. I believe Quality First sells it wholesale, so perhaps they have a good price. Greeting from Quezon City - have you tried asian stores for coconut cooking oil? Indians, Thai, Vietnamese - we all use coconut oil for frying - they might have them there as well. The Internet mail order sites mentioned sell the more expensive Virgin coconut oil which is more for medicinal properties (three tablespoons a day), but too expensive for day to day cooking. - jim
Guest guest
There is another option to the oil, you can use coconut milk/coconut cream. A pure 8 oz glass coconut milk (no water added) can meet your daily requirement of vcno. I think they are available in tetrapaks there in North America. Look for them in Asian stores. Guest guest
The only coconut milk I have found in local Asian stores comes in cans & is high heat processed. It all gives me that *catch* in the back of my throat I do not like. It is also full of preservatives. The coconut milk in tetra paks from Wilderness Family Naturals is a far tastier product, imo. No preservatives & low heat processed. I find WFN coconut milk to be worth the hassle of mail order & added shipping cost.
