Job Opening in or Plano Texas

All,

I have passed my PTCB exam recently, I am looking for part time

job/weekend only.Kindly Advise me what to do.I have applied in Retail

pharmacies before the Certification at that time they said we do not

accept with out certification and now they are saying we do not

offer job without experience.

Is this Attitude is normal.

Hina-

Try not to get discouraged. Have you tried the smaller community

pharmacies? With luck perhaps you could find a pharmacist who would

be willing to take you under his/her wing. Also consider applying at

hospitals,community clinics,long term care facilities, or home health

agencies. Even though such facilities often prefer someone with

experience, sometimes they will make an exception if the potential

employee can work odd shifts, weekends or evenings/nights.

Volunteering for a while is good if you do not have experience yet.

I put in about 3 months (twice a week only) of volunteer work in a

local hospital near my home and so far I gained some experience and

became familiar quickly with various medications which gave me more

leverage when I applied for a job. I am now certified and works for

one of the major retail pharmacy for about 3 months. Good luck.
