Guest guest
Thanks for the quick answer. I thought it was H04 but I had a few ambiguous certificate titles that ended in H03. Guest guest
Hi and All- ACPE Law CEs end in 03. Here's a cut and paste from ACPE's site describing program designations: " Universal Program Number - A Universal Program Number is an identification number which is assigned to each new continuing pharmacy education program developed and sponsored, or cosponsored, by an ACPE-accredited Provider. This number is developed by appending to the ACPE Provider identification number (e.g. 333), the cosponsor designation number (000 for no cosponsor, 999 for all non-ACPE- accredited cosponsors, or the ACPE identification number for ACPE- accredited cosponsors), the year of program development (e.g., 95), the sequential number of the program from among the new programs developed during that year (e.g., 001), and the topic and format designators (see below). Repeated offerings of the same program should use the same Universal Program Number for a three year period, although the cosponsor designation might vary. Examples are provided below. Cosponsor Designators: 000 - no cosponsoring organization 001 - 998 - the ACPE Provider identification number of the cosponsoring Provider 999 - cosponsoring with a non-ACPE-accredited organization Format Designators: L - Live offerings H - Home study and other mediated offerings C - Offerings which contain both live and home study or mediated components Topic Designators: 01 - Drug therapy related 02 - AIDS therapy related 03 - Law topics 04 - General Pharmacy Topics Sample Universal Program Numbers: 333-000-95-009-L01 333 original Provider 000 no cosponsoring organization 95 program developed in 1995 009 sequential number within 1995 L01 live program, drug therapy related topic 333-999-95-018-L02 333 original Provider 999 non-ACPE-accredited cosponsor 95 program developed in 1995 018 sequential number within 1995 L02 live program, AIDS therapy related topic 333-444-95-017-L03 333 original Provider 444 identification number of cosponsor (ACPE-Accredited Provider) 95 year assigned by original Provider 017 sequential number assigned by the original Provider L03 live program, Law topics " ****************************************************************** > Hi Everyone, > > Does anyone recall the last 3 digits of the law CE ID#? Guest guest
HI Jeanetta and Everyone, I never really thought about the program numbers other than for law programs. But now that you mentioned it, I figured the other number must stand for something too, right? So, with a short web search I found the following information that I think might interest all of you. It's a cut/paste from the Virginia Society of Health-System Pharmacists. I found the same general information on several different sites but this one had the easiest format to read and it is listed as a Universal Program. The easiest way to look at the Universal Program Number Assignments is to compare them to NDC numbers. The first part identifies the provider, the second is the co-sponsor, third is year of development, fourth is the ordered number for the year and the last is the format and topic. So anything ending in H04 is Home/Other Mediated Offering and Law. L04 would be Live Offering and Law. C04 would be Live/Home Combination and Law. I will also be happy to keep everyone informed about what happens during an audit. First, I have to file a paper form - not on-line. I need to compile all the CE I have done for the past two years and list them on a form with the date, name of the program, provider name and number of credits awarded. I must also make copies of all of the certificates and send them in with my application. From what I see so far, someone at the PTCB will look over each CE to be sure it fits the PTCB Technician CE criteria. They will discount any CE having to do with counseling. So far, I've made my list - 64 credits for the past 2 years. WooHoo, at least I'm not short. Talk to you soon, Lynch-Brunozzi, CPhT Policy 2: Universal Program Number Assignments POLICY: Programs are assigned universal program numbers based on defined criteria. PROCEDURE: 1.
