Guest guest Posted July 1, 2004 Report Share Posted July 1, 2004 Hi J, no problems so far with airports, but it's helpful to call the airline ahead of time, tell them what type of equipment you're bringing and ask if they would like for you to come early. They have always said no in my case, and said just to bring it and let them scan it separately. Guest guest Posted July 4, 2004 Report Share Posted July 4, 2004 I have traveled with the box (and always carry it on) for every training I've helped with and many times for personal use. I have NEVER been questioned about it or had problems getting it through customs, should they ask be sure you say it is for personal use as an alternative medical devise. If going to another country ALWAYS declare it, because coming back to the US they may ask about it, and if you did not declare it coming in NOW you have a problem as they may not let you bring it back without wanting to tax you for it as though you bought it there. Enjoy your trip. They WILL check your computer, so pack it on top of the box not underneath.
