Dear Fibro Community:

Yuletide Greetings! We hope this email finds you well and happily preparing for a festive holiday and prosperous New Year!

December marks the first year anniversary of the Indiana University Fibromyalgia Clinical Research Center. The center is the first in Indiana that is dedicated to the study of fibromyalgia and pain. The establishment of this center was only the beginning of a huge undertaking in our search for the cure of fibromyalgia. Although the medical society has been aware of fibromyalgia for years, we find that the syndrome is still in dire need of validation in various forms. Through research, we hope to develop diagnostic testing, collect scientific data in order to recommend modes of treatment, and to build an educational base for both those diagnosed and the general public.

We are proud to report that our first year has proven to be a great success! Still, we have a huge amount of work ahead of us. As fibromyalgia investigators, we are dependent on you to assist us in our tasks. Only through research can we hope to answer the numerous questions still unanswered about this life altering syndrome.
