Guest guest
Personally, my results with the qx and severe eye problems have been disappointing (cataracts) although I have heard of others with excellent results. I am looking forward to Bill following up on his Bahamas promise to expand the eye therapy in future releases of the SCIO/QX . Since you did not specify the nature of his eye problem, I am at a disadvantage here, but if it is Glaucoma or macular degenteation I would suggest the services of an ophthalmologist before any course of action is pursued. If his pursuit of surgery is simply to improve vision due to aging related vision loss he should be aware all surgery is not without risk. Along this line, if the vision loss is due to cataracts, then cataract surgery may be the best course of action if he has life style constraints because of his cataract related vision loss. If however he can comfortably live with his vision loss (corrective lens etc) then I would suggest delaying surgery until all other options are exhausted. Guest guest
Lasik surgery has changed so much that I must ask this question. What is his eyesight currently? It use to be that lasik was only preformed on those with extremely bad vision, it is not the case any longer. If his is like this, you may find the lasik is his fastest option. Then work on the qx to keep it maintained, since often they must repeat the procedure a few years latter. If it is not extremely sever then you will see quicker results with the QX. Or if the problem is vascular or interior chamber vs cornea shape. The other question is which programs have they been using, since there are several in the QX. When I work on eye issues, I will always go to at least two areas on each visit (sometimes three), then alternate on the next visit. Think of it as entering the house from all entrances. Sometimes the window is easier than the door. What works on one client is not always the best for the next.
