Yes, she'd have to turn off (or maybe even unplug) the digital cable box

to stop whatever its doing. I think even when the box is turned " off " ,

it is downloading TV Guide information, etc.

PUK replies - If the box is still hooked up to the system in particular the

data delivery cable it might lead to the box broadcasting frequencies from

the cable evan when not plugged in - time to try the AM radio

A lot of electronics seem to still give off stuff when they're plugged in but

not turned on. Some older TV picture tubes can get magnetized and affect me even

when they are not plugged in!
