Guest guest
Hi Sol, I have been told by more than one doctor that people that are allergic to other forms of iodine will not be allergic to the Iodoral, except for some extreme cases. I'm temporarily running a FMS support group who are using Iodoral as part of the protocol. We do recommend people only do this under the care of a trusted physician. I'm glad you shared your situation with us. It is important for people to be aware that there are people out there with this problem, that should never try something like this unless they are absolutely sure that they have no allergies to it!!! I will mention that the newest information on iodine shows that it does not just increase thyroid production, it can decrease it too, when it's too high. It apparently helps to regulate it. I'm not saying people with Hashimoto's should go out and go crazy on it, but it should be researched further and not dismissed. I should also say that it is very hard to find doctors that are truly iodine literate and up to date with the newest findings. Thanks again for making us aware of your situation.
