Guest guest
Greetings ! Just want to share to everybody that after taking VCO for about 3 months ( Nov.'03- Jan. '04 ) about 500 ml., I checked my FBS and Cholesterol level last week. The results showed that my FBS and Cholesterol level did not go up but went down a little. In my first blood test, taking VCO improved my cholesterol level and blood sugar. I will try to re-confirm it again after continued taking VCO. Did anyone also tried to check their levels after taking VCO for some time ? Best regards, Neil Re: Quiet > > > > -Irene, > > We are still here . Good news Neil, maybe you can post your " before " and " after " blood test results. Am interested not just in the total cholesterol levels but LDL and HDL levels. Do you also get your HbA1c tested? Trans-fats raise LDL and lower HDL - and so on. > By the way, what is HbA1c ? I'll include it on my next > blood chem test. HbA1C is the " Hemoglobin A1C " test - this gives the three month average of your blood glucose levels. It's considered a better indicator of blood sugar control for diabetics because fasting blood sugar test only provides a snapshot of your glucose level for that morning. Which depends on what and when you ate, exercise, etc. --- taking a long walk from your car to the doctor's office may already skew the results :-) ADA recommendation for good control is an HbA1C level of 7 and below. Normal non-diabetics score around 5 or so. > Also, what is the best VCO you tried here in the Phils. ? Am just a newbie at this. I only have one 500 ml bottle so far - it's got no label! I might be getting a new one next week, will try that " nature's blessings " brand because I tracked down their office in Pasig.

I shall show this to my doctor and hopefully, she would be willing to go with me in this direction. - I read in some other posts that you enjoy rice? Try shifting from white to brown rice if you can't give up rice altogether. As far as I'm concerned eating white rice is just like eating teaspoons of white sugar and diabetics should control their consumption.
