Therefore, technically AND legally, there are no circumstances and no need for any waiver. And, unless the 'alternative discount' you mention, is actually bigger than the coupon value, then they can stuff it where the monkey stuffs his nuts! If the store wants my custom in future, they will take the coupon with the same good grace they will take all the other coupons from folk. By the way, I do have a HUGE grin on my face over this:-)))) Fred
Guest guest
Cheaper by height. There is a local amusement park called Kings Island. My cousin was visiting and wanted to go with her children. Well, instead of age as being the determiner for adult price vs. child price it is height. My cousin was quite miffed when her 50 " tall 5yr. old son did not qualify for a child ticket and had to pay the adult price. The cut off was 48 " . Unfortunately, I am 52 " tall, so I can't see if their reaction if an adult under 48 " asked for a lower priced ticket because they meet the height requirements. If anyone is interested in testing the system, it is Kings Island, in Mason, Ohio just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. Please let the list know what happens if you do. There IS a way for Average Height folks to get in FREE, thanks to us under-height folks! Lin and I went to an amusement park here in England, with friends. They were six foot tall and the rest! We paid at the entrance and were walking away when one of the staff came over and said, " Excuse me, but you have over-paid. " He then explained that because they were with us, they were in fact, our 'carers'!!!!!!! As carers, they get in free!!!!!!! You can imagine the life we gave our friends as we travelled around that park! Never ceasing to remind them that THEY got in free, but because 'WE' were small WE had to PAY! That scenario has happened several times with us. Fred
Guest guest
Remember the olden days when we use to buy children's movie tickets when we were teens. We were able to do this until our classmates started working at the theater selling tickets! Kathy
Guest guest
I have one left out of my three for the day, so here goes..... From: " Kathy Davia " <kdavia@... > Remember the olden days when we use to buy children's movie tickets when > we were teens. We were able to do this until our classmates started working > at the theater selling tickets! > > Kathy Yer, Kathy, but we couldn't get into the ADULT films because they wouldn't believe how old we were! When I was seventeen I was at a residential training college. I used to come home on a weekend. I would get on the bus, pay half fare, go to the back and smoke! Get off the bus, go to the pub for a drink. (Drinking age in England is 18). The college was one for disabled. So, once a week three of us, one on crutches, one with callipers on his legs and me, would go to the cinema. Pay for the cheapest seats because we knew, once we got in, the usherette used to take pity on us and let us sit in the dear seats! I also worked out how to go ice skating for free! I realised I could walk under the pay booth without the girl seeing me! The ticket for the ice-skates was easy! I used it week after week! Simply because, they wrote the ducket number of where your shoes were, in pencil! Right, that's my three for the day:-) Fred
Guest guest
We have a similar situation here in Spokane. I think it's because shorter people can not ride on many of the rides and therefore don't get everything out of a full priced ticket. Why pay full price if I can go on half of the rides???? a > Cheaper by height. > > There is a local amusement park called Kings Island. My cousin was visiting and wanted to go with her children.
