Guest guest Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 " Parents are informed of the results and are told how to get help if their child is found to be depressed. Therapy is available regardless of the parents' ability to pay. " What kind of 'therapy'??????. Is it only drug 'therapy'? And if so, are parents and teens being informed of the negative side effects that some people experience: * emotional detachment * disinhibition syndrome * psychosis Are external, environmental causes being pinpointed and reduced? ie. social stressors, self esteem issues? Guest guest Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 It's terrible for their loss but it's a shame their lose would promote Teenscreen and create much more loss. If they really knew what they were supporting...... BTW, if you guys can stand the emotional body-blows you should get " Antidepressant: Suicide? " and have a local showing at your church or school. It will change the hardest core folks that have been deceived. If this family watched that movie they might have a different outlook and might even pull that book. Jim I guess they don't realize that it may be the A.D. which pushed him over the edge. Quote
