----- Forwarded Message ----From: "Weintraub, Arlene" <Arlene_Weintraub@...>info@...Sent: Tuesday, May 27, 2008 2:50:16 PMSubject: Interview request

Folks,

I am a reporter for BusinessWeek who would like to interview parents who were urged to put their children on psychiatric medications, particularly by physicians who received payments from drug companies that sell psychiatric drugs. I¢m working on a story about transparency in medicine (or the lack thereof), and there have been many examples recently of physicians doing clinical trials for drug companies, or running industry-funded seminars on psychiatric disorders in children. I¢m particularly interested in talking to parents who were not initially aware of their doctors¢ relationships with drug companies, or who did research on their own and discovered such relationships. If any of your members fit the bill, please pass along my contact info. Or feel free to call me if you need more information.
