Personally, I do not own any but they are popping up all over in the

little girls section of a lot of stores. I have seen stores such as

Target, Wal Mart, Old Navy, etc. carrying some cute ones

actually...without all the frilly little girly details

Some styles of shorts work well as gauchos....

plus the Goodwill and Salvation Army stores have clothing cheaper so you can

experiment with cutting the shorts down some..hope that helps...

wot i heard is u can have a baby but u have to have a c-section cuz our area

down there is to small to fit the head out i never had children i want them with

my gf but ya thats wot the doctors told me if u would like to reply go ahead im

I love this idea, thanks for the tidbit of information.

I am new to Reactive Arthritis, so new I was gullable to the DR telling

me on my first visit, we can get this into remission and you will be

fine. On the 2nd visit he added Fibro to my list of ailments.

Now 3 months later I am on medical leave for 5 weeks due to impossible

fatigue and pain. I am doing ok, but I need information. Good

information to plan my life while juggling 2 more diseases.

we are all different, and lets pray your REA does go into remission,

its that we ALL pray for too, just stay positive and listen to your

rhumatologist(hope u have a gooodun) and ask for advice from here if

u need it, they are a great bunch here, I Have REA too, sadly mine is

chronic, there is a Minority that have this condition for life,

sadly my rhummy told me im one of them ! Having said that I will NOT

give up, I stay positive, and whinge here if it gets me down, we are

all in the same boat....goood luck and love

I recommend you check out the University of Texas-Houston. They are

rated #11 in the country for ENT. My husband and I have toyed with

the idea of moving back to Dallas. If we did, I would consider

checking out UT-Houston.

What type of information are you looking for? We are a group that

practices EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) which was founded by

Craig. The foundational belief is that the cause of all negative

emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. By clearing out

these disruptions we are able to clear a great many emotional issues

(e.g. phobias, traumas, anxieties, etc.) in short order.

With this technique I have been able to get success rates in

approximately 80% of the people I've personally dealt with. And I am

nowhere near as gifted as some of the other practioners either on this

board or elsewhere.

Hey Michele! I am a Teacher, also 28! I have have my first surgery June 21st... I don't know what exactly they plan to do I have heard at least 3 different technical names for the surgery.... I just know there is a C-toma and it has to go! I guess I find out all the technical stuff at my Pre-OP. I have learned so much on this site.... that and What questions to ask my DR. Well Good luck with your surgery..... Hi Rob,

First and foremost, please accept my heartfelf condolences for your

losses. I know that losing both your parents and siblings can really

turn your life upsidedown. It causes you to question things that your

normally would pay little mind to. Been there, done that. But there is

hope. There's always hope. I sense that there's this large, dark cloud

engulfing you at the moment. But like all clouds, it will eventually

dissipate -- although it doesn't seem that way now.

You'll find that you've come to the right group to help you through

this. There are a lot of caring and concerned folks here that are

willing and able to guide you through this. They are the 'defacto'

experts in cloud dissipation, in my humble opinion ) With that said,

I think the first thing you need to do is head on over to Craig's

website and download his free EFT manual, if you haven't done so

I know that it will seem like a lot of reading, but it's important to

gain a basic understanding of the mechanics of EFT. It will help you

to realize just how powerful a tool this is. I've been banging away

with EFT for little over a year now and can tell you that I'm simply

blown away by the positive results I've been experiencing. I have yet

to find ANY tool or technique that even comes close to the power of

EFT. Am I a fan? You betcha!

Hi Kate, I'm sharon 30yrs, from Ipswich Qld and am due to have my surgery

aug 3 at a general hospital and am quite worried also. I Have my pre

admission appointment on the 26th July and am not sure what questions to ask

and even if I will even get the chance to see my ent. What I was told was

that I will be left with a larger ear canal and some chipping of the

mastoid. I thought my ctoma was at the base of my ear and on my last visit

found out it was above my ear... Is that where they normally sit? Did you

lose a lot of hair? Is the ear canal really noticeable? I was diagnosed in

2003 also whilst pregnant with my 6th child...I find it all very nerve

wrecking considering our health system here. I'd appreciate any further

thoughts and questions that I should ask. What I find even eerier about it,

my Grandma died on that same date... so I'm getting a bit freaked out the

Gee i have had both knees done. Each time I had surgery on Wednesday

and went home Sunday. I do not work outside the home but I would guess

at least a month. My therapy went on for two months. I feel I had

good recovery both times. I am almost 7 months out and still have some

healing pain but nothing bad. Went to my OP this week and he says I am

doing great. I was faithful to do exactly at the doctor and therapist

said. I think part of the key is having a good surgeon. I was told

have one that has done lots of this type of surgery. Mine has. Good

luck.

Thanks for the info. I have a wonderful Dr. also I have an office job that I wonly work 13 hours a week right now. I was thinking about a month also but maybe sooner.

I'm amazed that you've found a doctor willing to do the surgery at

34,,,I can't imagine what pain & experience you've had...

How long you'll be off of work depends on what kind of work you do.

I think the general concensus is 6-8 weeks

I was on crutches for a month, & then a cane for a coupla weeks,,,but

I was able to drive a car after 2 weeks...but didn't go back to work

until 3 months because my job involves climbing a lot of stairs.

HOWEVER,,, & this is a big however,,,,Your JOB, after surgery, is to

rehab your knee!!! Even if you go back to work quickly, you'll have

pain & will want to use your lunch break to ice down your knee.

Sooo,,,,I guess that I would have to say about 8 weeks...There is so

much involved in recovery, including really disrupted sleep patterns,

& other stuff...I know that if I could have tele-commuted, then I

could have been back at work in 2 weeks...But leaving home for 8 or

more hours per day is just not feasable...At least it wasn't for me.
