They sincerely hope (in the case of insurance companies) that you either give up, kill yourself, or go so utterly bankrupt that you cannot pursue legal remedy. In my case, I had to take my insurance company to court and have the judge ORDER then to provide me with surgery on my shoulder, which the insurance compay had denied for FIVE YEARS! Until and unless someone like actually has to deal with these corporate thieves, one cannot even begin to understand the kinds of lengths they will go to undermine the plaintiff and make their life a living hell.
