" He said the woman in question was " a healthy subject " who " would have been

taking medications as part of the study and we would have been taking

various test results. " There are about 100 subjects in the study.

But last week, he said, the woman who committed suicide was on a placebo.

" Her death took place while she was taking sugar pills rather than

duloxetine. "

So, which is it? I'm following the story closely and I'm getting

confused...she was on higher than normal doses in the healthy, non-depressed

group, then was dropped directly to placebo, and after four days of

withdrawal suicided?

Or was she always in the placebo group?

Or was she properly weaned down from a high dose?

I cannot believe the ability of these " Lilly spokesmen " to confuse the

facts...has Dr. contacted the family?
