the liver is responsible for most of the work of breaking down and

eliminating toxic chemicals like herbicides and pesticides, so as much as

possible eat organic. you need to reform your relationship to sugar, as in

avoiding it in all worthless forms like common cane, corn syrup, etc etc....

get your sweets from things like fruits/berries, and that doesn't mean

extracted from them and turned into some straight sugar form. diet

sweeteners are bad news except for stevia. msg and it's close relatives is

now rampantly prevalent in processed and packaged foods under a couple dozen

different names... best to eat whole simple fresh, dry, or frozen pure foods

with nothing from the food processing industry whatsoever added, including

colorings (the FDA isn't really a very good friend).

cut back on flesh foods, but don't try to go vegetarian unless you really

learn how to do it right and do the actual work. spend the money and drive

the distance to buy quality animal foods that don't dose you with veterinary

meds like antibiotics (actually largely used to bulk-up animals, not so much

for disease) & hormones. avoid high iron from stuff like liver. avoid

supplemental iron wherever you can (the work " ferrous " in an ingredient list

means iron). stay low fat, but get good fats from good oils. avoid vit A

supplements (carotenes) get it from fresh foods instead.

summary:

forget refined sugars and artificial sweeteners.

no extra iron or carotene supps.

low fats of good quality.

eat clean foods without chemicals, which means avoid the output of the food

processing industry wherever possible.

these are just the basics...
