Guest guest
Dear Bowriver011, Let's not have discriminatory across the board opinions about all SSRI victims not being able to capable of be responsible. Some can and some can't. Yes we need to protect ourselves with the knowledge and awareness that the public safety is endangered because of them and this is a good approach to forced medication, but some are seekng help and don't know where to find it like my Mother and I before her suicide.Altering someone's brainwashing is a slow process. When the victim isn't pressured and has time to think about it themselves and may start to realized that their recurring symptoms occur more frequently with the drugs they will know where to perhaps get some help and we have to be ready. I have just gotten off the phone with a woman who had brain surgery this week and DHR told her to take the bus home. They are threatening to take her 3 children away because she's too poor to get her washing machine fixed and is too sick to wash them out by hand. Her son got in a fight at school and the social workers are threatening to take her children away because of the broken washing machine and because he had been on SSRI's for 7 years and she took him off of them before school just to see what her children would be like without them without withdrawal symptoms .I was very careful to make sure that I wasn't telling her not to put her children on the drugs. She told me she has been asking for years for them to tell her what studies had been done on these drugs for children and they have refused to answer her questions. That's violating her rights as a parent to make an informed consent decision about the drugs that she is being threatened with being placed in foster care if she doesn't medicate her children. The adolescent boy got in a fight and was suspended from school. Now that's her fault because she took him off the drugs before school. In my day the unruly boys got a paddlin' and had to stay after school in detention. I've suggested that when her friend goes to the drug store for her that he get a form to document the time and date that she is administering the drugs since the DHR social workers have called her " uncooperative " . I've reminded her that if the patriots hadn't been " uncooperative " with England we never would have had America and that parents as long as they are not endangering their children, should have the ultimately control over their own children's health care, not the government. She'd going to document exactly the administration of the drugs at what time and on what day to create evidence that she is cooperating with the administration of the drugs. Our friend is also going to ask the pharmacist for not only the computer print-out for each drug that she is being required to give her children under threat of foster care but the Physician's Desk REference so that she can finally get her question answered about the tests on children and memorize the side effects, contraindications, etc. She will document these if obeserved and then transcribe it onto another piece of paper so that no one ever has a chance to confiscate her original evidence of the consumptoin of the drugs and the possible side effects that she may observe. I've also suggested that she write out a statement for the DHR social worker to sign that she wants to know if the drug that she is being required to administer to her child under threat of seizure for foster care is any of the drugs that the FDA has been investigating for increasing the incidence of suicide because if her son commits suicide on the drug that the DHR Social Worker is forcing her to give under threat of foster care it can't be blamed on the Mother and she will have proof that the Social Worker forced her to give her son the drug with or without telling her if there was an increased incidence of suicide against her opinion as his Mother that she didn't want him to take it. When she started asking for public transportation to physical therapy instead of mental health DHR refused to help her get transportation. There are people out there looking for help. Does anyone have any more suggestions? They're going to get supplies to have chicken/bean/vegetable soom on the stove for eating at all time so there can be no allegation of not having enought food (being poor without money for food is now a reason for the Federal Government to fund social worker jobs with your tax dollars). A neighbor is going to do the laundry that will be kept in a laundrey basket near the front door ready in case there is an unexpected home visit. DHR owns this property that is being subsidized by the federal government in rent. Wonder how many other properties are owned by DHR? I was taught that when Communism takes over the government, not the people, own the land. Interestingly, no DHR Social Worker has offered to help her take the father to court to get back child support that could be used to fix the washing machine. No Mother of three that has just had brain surgery shoudl be being threatened with having her children taken away from her because she is poor and doesn't believe her children should be medicated with psychiatric medications. I asked her if she felt that her children had been helped by 7 years of SSRI medications and she said " No " . Yes, it's true that some are too mind controlled to see how their quality of life has been adversely affected, there are some that are happy with SSRI's (I'm happy while I'm intoxicated with alcohol but that's no reason to let it destroy my brain cells, liver, and cause depression, etc.),a and there are some that are seeking help. I looked EVERYWHERE I knew to go to try to get help for my Mother and all I could find was more psychiatrists doing the same things that the previous objectionable psychiatrists had already done to her and none of them could ever refer me to someone who could offer any alternatives or get her off without the withdrawal symptoms being blamed on her. There are defininately people out there looking for help and I'm asking for anyone that has any suggestions that can be offered to this Mother or if you would be willing to call her and offer words of encouragement yourself, let me know. It's very stressful to feel like the DHR Social Workers are going to show up any minute and take your children away from you and this distracts your mind from being able to think of ways to circumvent their efforts. I've armed her with the ammo of knowledge and that there are people out there their that understand her position. She need help and understanding; not threats and stress. IF her children are put in foster care we all pay for it and children should be raised by their own parents unless they are endangering them with physical abuse or whatever.
