The common link in just about all the childhood vaccinations is the

mercury based preservative Thimerosal. Mercury is a known fetal

neurotoxin but that didn't stop the drug companies (with FDA approval)

from using it in RhoGam, the shot given to pregnant women with Rh

factor problems and putting it in vaccines given to newborns and

everyone else. When I was a child, we got one vaccination -- small

pox. Now children may be reguired to have 20-30 before their brains

stop maturing (in their mid 20's). Up until 1999, all vaccines were

manufactured with Thimerosal. Since then, the Thimerosal has been

taken out of the manufacturing processs for pediatric vaccines but the

old supplies with the Thimerosal were not discarded, THEY WERE GIVEN

TO CHILDREN. Some of these vaccines are still being used. And, to

top that, the flu vaccine has Thimerosal in it and since last year, we

are being pushed to have children vaccinated against the flu.

Congressman Burton, who has led the government's push (or has tried to

lead it) to examine the relationship between Thimerosal and autism has

a grandchild who was, by all accounts, " normal " right up until days

AFTER the child was given 8 vaccinations, all containing Thimerosal,

one day when the child was 3 years old. Suddenly the child became

autistic. But, swears the " scientific community " , it was just a

coincidence. Nevertheless, the " scientific community " has supported

removing the Thimerosal from the vaccines, even though they swear

there is no problem. Studies demonstrating that there is " no problem "

are flawed to the point of being invalid.

If your child needs vaccinations, be sure there is no Thimerosal in

it. Ask to check packaging. I believe that vaccines without

Thimerosal are single dose containers. Multiple dose containers need

a preservative. Many people are under the impression that there is no

Thimerosal in any pedicatric vaccines anymore. Not necessarily true.

Depends on how old the vaccine is. Who knows how long the Thimerosal

containing supplies will last, the Thimerosal preserves them

indefinitely.

Also, the pertussis vaccine contained in the DTP is a known to cause

or trigger seizure disorders in children. Children with seizure

disorders should not be given it. Some -- including me -- believe

that children who have seizure disorders not related to injury in

their families should not be given the pertussis vaccination. What is

commonly overlooked is that temporal lobe seizures can look just like

a " mental illness " , causing the person to behave what appears to be

irrationally. This can appear to be ADHD, " early onset bipolar

disorder " or schizophrenia to some people, including most

psychiatrists and a surprising number of neurologists.

What my friends and I believe is that for some of our children, the

mercury in the Thimerosal caused damage to areas of the brain that

were already .......delicate??........weaker??....... That the

mercury exploited genetic predispositions to certain problems for our

children. We believe that without the Thimerosal there may still have

been problems but not to the severe degree that they experienced. But

children like ours were excluded from the studies where they claimed

they were attempting to determine if the Thimerosal was dangerous or

not. And, like that of Congressmant Burton grandchild, there are

cases of what is simply mercury overdose. When the FDA allowed

mercury in vaccines, it was based on an " accepted " dose (as if there

is an acceptable dose) which is routinely exceeded by the practice of

giving multiple vaccines in one day.

I, personally, am not opposed to vaccinations in general.....at this

point. But I am very opposed to putting neurotoxins in vaccines given

to anyone, not just children.
