Hello there....

Analgesics overdose:

a- Aspirin ( tinnitus)

b- Paracetamol ( hepatocellular necrosis)

c Codeine (constipation)

As I know i'll be soon asked about a reference, Check Churchill handbook of clinical dentistry and BNF.

As for my answer in Prosth I have no reference in particular as this is my major speciality. sorry for that.

Hi Kavitha,

I promised to get back to you, so I hope you are still here.  Having just

written to another person, I feel that I am on a roll now.

While most people in our group (or family) have had a myotomy, some have not and

are doing well from their dilatations. Recommending surgery, from one Achalasian

to another, is not something we just throw out there like its no big deal. Some

people are able to do well without the surgery. For those of us who had

" conservative " doctors, we had dilatations first in the hope that surgery was

not necessary. Some had botox (generally, but now always, frowned upon here due

to its temporary nature).

But, I have to tell you, in reading your letter.  You have to have something

done. If you need lots of water to get the food down, then you are not doing

well. The shortness of breath is probably related. We would probably need more

of a description of it to really comment. The sigmoid esophagus is probably a

result of a combination of the esophagus getting stretched by too much food and

water in there over a period of time with the esophagus loosing elasticity.

While I really think you should closely follow up on what's going on inside,

even if you all of a sudden have a " good period " for a while, I am not

suggesting surgery as the first way of attacking this, though it might be the

best. Some people do respond very well to a dilatation if the size of the

balloon selected is optimum, the placement of the balloon is perfect, and the

duration of the expansion is precise.  In other words the doctor performing it

is very experienced and expert at it. If the dilatation does not succeed, you

can always fall back on the surgery.

Please don't let this go. You need experienced medical attention now, so the

sooner the better.

Hello folks,

I just joined the group yesterday. I have been diagnosed of achalasia 5 years

ago (I was 40 years old at that time). I have undergone barium esophagogram,

manometry, esophagogastroduodenoscopy etc… My gastroenterologist said that I

have moderate achalasia, so I did not want to go for any surgery or take botox

injection. I have not been taking any medication. I have been managing by

pushing the food with lot of water. I actually lost 40 pounds in 3 years and

slowly put on 25 pounds again. But from the last two weeks I started having

swallowing difficulty and mild heartburn. I am also feeling shortness of breath

after having food (I feel like my trachea is being compressed, I don't know

why). Did any of you feel shortness of breath? Is it related to achalasia? Can

you please tell me how sigmoid esophagus is related to achalasia? What are the

causes of sigmoid esophagus? It was nice reading all your emails. I really felt

better after reading your emails.

Thank you all very much,

Kavitha

Karrie loves the clothes from Justice. She won't wear jeans, either, but we both

love the cute sweats they carry. They have plus sizes and also go up to size

starting to like the Jonas Bros. She will pretty much wear what I buy, but it

can't be " touching " her-LOL! I love Penney's for the plus size knit pants as Lys

won't wear jeans (they " touch " her and she walks like a cowboy who just got off

a horse). It is hard to tell her no to the Hannah shirts, etc. And it is very

difficult to find clothes in other departments. Not sure what we'll do when she

outgrows the plus size at Penney's. Sue & Alyssa, MI

TRUDY! Yay! I've missed you!So excited for you. I know you have wanted to do this for so long. How is the move coming along? Fill us in, I know you've been a busy little beaver or you'd have been on here more. What's going on? I loved the travel kit! I used it for my first shot and I think that was it... Taking the shot to the doctors office, on my own, and that was the last time I did anything on my own for 48 weeks! Hopefully you won't have to walk my path. Poor ny is walking my path. Can't wait to hear all of your good news about the move and your first shot!Hugs,TeriFrom: "trudykinsey@..." <trudykinsey@...>Hcv < >Sent: Fri, August 13, 2010 1:23:53 PMSubject: [ ]

Good luck to you too, Janet.....my surgery is going to be on

11/11........BARB

(unknown)

Hi Barb,

Thanks! I forgot to add before that I'm 53 years old. I feel pretty good

most of

the time with no restrictions whatsoever. There's a pool at the gym where I

have

a membership. I go in as much as possible and do exercises and the water

aerobics classes. It's great fun and has helped tremendously with my

recovery

and strengthening the muscles. I also ride the recumbant bike.

The only thing holding me back now is my left hip needs to be fixed too. I'm

scheduled for surgery on October 5 for the left hip. I haven't told my boss

yet.

It's on my to-do list for this week. LOL!

I 'm hoping the second time around goes as well as the first! The approach

and a

greatly experienced OS make a world of difference.

Hope everything goes well for you!

Janet B. from Mass.

it's not been hacked, you are just infected with a virus.  Do you have virus protection software?  You can just make sure it is updated and then run a thorough scan on your pc and check that it has found the spam virus.

Dear Parents and Prsctitioners,

In MNRI we don't borrow any of the Harald Bloomberg's Techniques - NO. We used them separately at some Camps till 2007 when Bloomberg and his collegues/students were at our Camps and worked themselves. So we used not mixing with our programs (and keeping under Harald Bloomberg's name - for respect of his copyrights), and we stopped using this Program, because we are not sure about seasures, and self-stimulation in autistic teenagers (we had this cases). There are no experience and research about this program. So for last 30 Conferences we don't use this program though some children demonstrated some positive changes in the past - relaxation, release of tension.

I am not aware what our techniques Harald Bloomberg uses - sorry. I want for parents to be aware of the original material.

Svetlana Masgutova.
