Not to sound unkind, but we are all so busy surviving, , that on

reading your post I wondered if you had researched the archives where a lot

of answers to your questions are found. It would save DB the time to

answer.

WFN? And how much VCO do you take in one day straight by the tablespoonful?

And how much do you cook with on a daily basis?

Sorry about all the questions, am new, and sounds like you have been doing

Have you tried to use the archives recently? Last few times I tried,

the groups search function was broken.

Melina,

Any donation will make a difference for someone, somewhere. It may not be in

your community, but the way I look at it, we are all in this together.

I understand your feelings about the telethon. Sometimes I cringe at the way

issues, stories, etc. are portrayed. But the bottom line is, that telethon,

along with countless hours of hard work from many people around the world over

the years has generated millions of dollars. And those dollars have, in turn,

improved (and saved) many lives.

If we want a effective treatment, or cure some day, we need to become part of

the solution. MDA has helped me so much over the years; this is my way of giving

back.

Thank you Tammy

This helps me understand why the medical folks say they need better testing.

I didnt know that ALT levels go up during pregnancy, and come down after.

It does support my suspicion that labs are read in many ways, and that HCV could possibly be missed.

I am thankful that Medical Science is addressing all these things.

Hi everyone ! In 2003 I was 6 months pregnant and started itching all over ,it was bad the doctor did a alt test and my numbers were high he said it was a condtion some women get with there liver. I was 42 years old so they blame it on age i had a c- section at 7 and a half months because my liver was getting worse. I was living in mexico at the time so they did a alt after and said was down. I was never right after that many doctor visits there and in the states and 2 years later a doctor in the U.S. ask why my son was born early when i told him about my alts he said we need to test you for things that would make that happen in pregnancy. 2 weeks later I found out i had hepc. Praise the lord my son did not get it from me with all the blood during the c -section. God Bless,Tammy

Hi ,

I donated (wish it could be more!)--looks like you'll meet your goal soon. I'm

not sure if my husband and I will go, but if we do I'll be sure to look for you,

your husband, and son! ~a

I haven't used it but if you feel it has given you good results on your skin

and with your son, why wouldn't it do just as well for your hair. If you try

it, keep us informed as to how it works for you. Sylvia

Cool tip! I may try that on my kids when they're sick with the coughs. Thanks!

I am hoping that i can see some good results with Hair growth.

I also think it works well on my skin and complexion looks flawless. I also use

it on my son when he is sick by rubbing it on his back and chest and he sleeps

throughout the night without coughing.

I love coconut oil!!

I use coconut oil in my hair and it works wonderfully! My hair is tightly curly

and sometimes prone to dryness. The coconut oil moistuizes my hair very well. It

also acts as a good natural detangler and deep conditioner.

There was a presentation about police training at one of our Network Meetings,

maybe a year ago, but, I don't keep the minutes.

Joanell Voigt from CAU may have that information archived. I will email you

I know Alderman from the Springfield location of the Autism Program does

the emergency personnel training. You could also check with the Chicago location

for the Autism Program.

Hi,

Another mother and I had a positive meeting with an ton police commander

last week around the issue of police interaction with people with autism and

other disabilities. He's willing to include a training segment

(probably 30 minutes - maybe up to 60) in a future in-service. With

163 officers, the training would likely need to be repeated over

several days.

I'd appreciate any information about any

municipalities that have done such training for police -- who were

presenters, contact person at police dept., etc.

Ellen and Rubin --

I

recall your earlier replies about training, mentioning Kane and Lake

Counties, I believe. Do you know anyone I can connect with to learn if

there's an existing training presentation, a presenter who'd do

training pro bono, any police officer whose department has had such training?

Thanks in advance.

IATTAP can do police training (no charge)- based on the training developed by

Indiana Resource Center for Autism (used with permission). We did this for

entire precincts in Kane and it was quite well received. The Dennis Debbaudt

video is incorporated and having a parent and or persons with ASD panel - we

will individualize it based on need and time - contact for more

information or potential dates kristinnelson@...
