My husband's father just turned 83 a couple weeks ago. He is very healthy

and looks more like 63. I know that when he makes that final leap, we will

ALL be devastated. It won't matter that we've had him for all those years;

it will only matter that we miss him and he won't be here. There'll come a

time when you will feel mostly grateful that you had your grandpop for all

those years, instead of sad that he's not here anymore. Time really truly

does help. In the meantime, giant {{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}} to help you

through this very sad time. Cry a lot, talk a lot, remember a lot, and pray

a lot. All of that is important!!

Donna

Donna,

Too bad that everyone needs to die. Hopefully I'll get over his loss

sometime. Thanks for the hugs. I've been crying a lot to getting me a

headache. I've been talking to friends and listing to music so I'm a little

bit better but not really.

Gail, Laser surgery is very safe and has no known cancer causing effect.

It is chemotherapy and radiation (gamma rays) that are known to cause cancer

(actually, they weaken the immune system and this allows radical cancer

cells to grow and spread throughout the body), not lasers. I had a throat

problem similar to your husband's that required laser surgery and it greatly

releived my sleep apnia symptoms and my snoring (and resulting parched

throat every morning). Good luck. Cody.

Thanks for the info...I went out and bought him

breathe right to put on his nose at night and that has

helped some...
