Without going into detail, a few years ago one of my relatives sued her doctor for what we all thought was a VERY clear case of malpractice. As she was dealing with her lawyer and the courts, I was acting as a buffer with some lawyer friends to run by them what she was being told to see if it was all legitimate. They had no axe to grind or any reason to protect the other lawyers but their reports were just as pessimistic as my relative's were. In the end and after several years, she was awarded an extremely small settlement which assessed no blame and which melted away after lawyers and insurance companies were paid off. She died shortly thereafter. That experience showed me what it's like trying to take on the legal industry. I just thank God that people like Dr. Lenke exist. Guest guest
Not a problem. Just fill this out: (http://www.vdh.state.va.us/epidemiology/immunization/documents/SchoolRegulations/cre_1.pdf). It looks as if they want it notarized, too. although I don't see that written in the law. It won't hurt to notarize it and is probably a good idea anyway. Or write your own statement, something like: I, _____, parent of _____ state that the administration of immunizing agents conflicts with our child's religious tenets or practices, per VCA 22.1-271.2." You can get all info on state requirements here: (http://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements/virginia.aspx) What have you been doing up until now? Antidepressants & Suicide, FDA Warns The FDA has warned that children and adults taking antidepressants can become suicidal in the first weeks of therapy and that physicians should watch patients closely when first giving the drugs or changing dosages. The FDA is asking drug manufacturers to place explicit warnings about the drugs' side effects, including the risk of suicide, on their labels. Comment: This action by the FDA in issuing a broad warning is most unusual. The FDA has traditionally based its decisions on convincing evidence. But there is still no convincing evidence linking antidepressants and suicide. (Congress has been pressuring the FDA to take a stand on this issue.) Guest guest
Hi , For sleep? Well I use one of several calcium/magnesium mixes. A to B Calm, Calm with Calcium etc. Apparently if your have enough of these electrolytes then the drink doesn't help you sleep. I seem to be low in both and doze right off every time and sleep very soundly even if I have been wired on coffee all day Camomile tea, a long walk, a big meal, warm milk, all the normal stuff. If you were getting into days of zero sleep and working yourself up to acting or feeling hallucinatory then getting an old fashioned sleeping drug from your doctor might be the way to go ie induced sleep. Walk and exercise is hard to confront when your feeling down or anxious but if you make yourself get out, even a little, you will feel different and sometimes that is better than they way you were feeling at least! Nature is real healing for me, birds and bugs, cats and dogs, watching kids play, people hanging cloths, gardening etc riding a bike through the neighborhood you get glimps of all and more, very soothing to me.
