I'm so sorry ne of the troubles you are having. Are the children

going to their fathers temporarily? Have you seen the Dr. sense you

started having the seizures? I'm glad the weeping has stopped in your

legs. Do you think the predisone was causing that to happen? My heart

My daughter and I collect angels. She wants to do her room over with angels.

We pick up different kinds of angels. I don't really believe in God per say

but I do strongly belieeve in angels. I had posted in a letter before about

bells ringing and angels getting their wings....you should hear my house

around Christmas!!!

are made of porcelin (?) but my friend collects them and they are

Mike,

IF someone has high blood pressure vitamin E can elevate it before it

drops back down. I would be cautious administering it to an elderly

patient who has not been on it, especially if he is already dealing with

an aneurism.

I had a friend who suffered a brain aneurysm and used IV EDTA chelation to

release the blood and return the ballooned vessel to normalcy. She lived in

Chincoteague, Md., but I don't recall her name. She took chelation from Dr.

Beals, who has chelation clinics in Laurel, Md. and Washington, D. C.,

an excellent doctor. M

Liz,

My advice is to see the endo ASAP. Don't let this go for 3 months. Do you

best to find a doc that can see you sooner. I was seen within 3 days once

it was determined that I was hyper.

Here's the goitrogen list I included in my book.

Members of the Brassica family: broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kohlrabi

Non-Brassica family:turnips, mustard greens, pears, kale, spinach peaches and

almonds

Cyanoglucosides: cassava, maize, bamboo shoots, sweet potatoes and lima beans.

Soy is not really a goitrogen although it has two separate actions which

inhibit thyroid hormone synthesis so it has the same effect.

Most gotirogens work by blocking iodine absorption and monovalent ions such

as lithium, fluoride, chloride, bromide, etc. will also block iodine uptake.

Hi Elaine, thanks very much for the goitrogen list. I have seen chloride

mentioned several times before, you mention it as a monovalent ion. If I

understand this correctly chloride will benefit hyperT people?

Does swimming in a chlorine pool help then?, or is this an entirely

different substance? I used to swim a kilometre a day, five days a week.

for about 18 months in a big old outdoor chlorine/salt pool in Sydney. Do

you know if this would have helped or hindered my condition as a hyperT?

Can't do it at the moment as I am too tired and have no muscles, REALLY miss

my muscles!!!

Hi Dawn,

Chlorine in water is known to displace iodine but I haven't read anything

about chlorine absorbed through the skin except for a small report about a

year ago. I haven't read anything about the other ions inducing GD, rather

they cause hypoT.

Most of the latest studies I've read have focused on the hypoT effects of

fluoride. Whatever, swimming in a heated pool sounds like it would help

anything.

Hi hon. My ex-mother in law is a big angel collector, she has some really

ugly ones (lol) but most of hers are just beautiful. I've recently started

collecting them, too, but I don't have more than just a few yet. I don't really

care what kind they are, but I look

Whom ever is aplant@..., you are sending out email infected with the

" W95.MTX.dr " virus.

It is not easy to get rid of. You can go to Norton.com and get a fix but

you cannot use the pc you are sending email out with. This virus is smart.

You cannot connect to any anti-virus company web site, the virus will not

let you.

Get on another computer and download the fix on a floppy then follow the

instructions VERY closely. It may make you re install windows,

I am a victim of this virus, may be from the email you mentioned. Beware,

this virus is very smart, it doesn't let me connect to my anti virus company

which is McAfee. I have to reinstall windows. Take too much time.

I don't think you need the flow meter to regulate a drip of ozone.

That is what the spa generators put out, which is no where close to

being in the same category as medical.

If you do some digging, you can make a good unit yourself for about

the same price as a flow meter, not counting the oxygen source. It

will take a little engineering on your part.

I recommend writing down your goals and the reasons why you want to change.

After you do, post them here. The simple action of letting others know what

you are committing yourself to, will help add incentive to staying on track.

After that, each day if you want, you can report here. You can mention any

obstacles you ran into, any triumphs you had, and any new questions that

occurred to you. There are so many encouraging and knowledgeable people here

that without a doubt, you will discover still more encouragement and answers

in the process.

I should mention that you will run into obstacles. That's part of the process

for all of us. If you want the best, single piece of advice that I can offer

on how to make this program succeed, mine would be: if you slip, or run into

an unexpected problem, or feel disappointed - keep going. " Turn adversity

into energy. " Don't let one disappointment grow into a cloud that overpowers

your sunlight. Problems are part of life and of every great effort. If you

fall off the horse, get right back in the saddle - and you'll be back on your

way!

That's the best way to promote rapid fat-burning. I recommend working out

first thing in the morning, then waiting an hour to eat your first meal. Some

people do this on aerobic days only, then on weight-training days work out

later in the day. Still, if you can manage it, working out every day first

thing, then waiting an hour to eat, will produce the speediest fat-burning

results. It's also a terrific habit to form, because it makes exercise a top

priority. You will carry with you throughout the day, the pride in knowing

that you've already achieved something wonderful. (It also wakes you up,

physically and psychologically, like nothing else!)

The reason this approach burns fat so well, is that your body will be in a

fasted state. So your body will have no " choice " but to draw upon stored fat

for energy. Also, when you do the 20 minute aerobic solution, the variation

in intensity revs up the metabolism in a a way that will continue burning fat

*after* your workout. Eating sooner would lessen the effect.

Were you restricting your meals to foods that are on the " Authorized Foods "

list in the book? And were you following the portion rules? If so, the

calories should have been about right. Your body needs the frequent, small

meals in order for this program to work. One of the myths that diet fads have

popularized, is the idea that " starvation " is a good way to " lose weight. " In

reality, severe dieting causes muscle loss and a " fat defending " state that

slows the metabolism. Such " starvation " promotes such raving hunger that

people eventually overeat to compensate, putting on more fat than they lost,

plus more. So although it may seem counter-intuitive, you need those six

meals per day. You need them in order to keep your metabolism running high,

your body and muscles nourished, and your fat burning rapidly.

One of the keys to success is planning. Set aside five minutes each evening

to plan your exercise and meals for the next day. Plan the time you will

so that you can select portable foods for those times when you will be on the

run. And space your meals 2-3 hours apart, watching to make sure that the

life direct you. The simple strategy of taking 5 minutes each night to plan

the next day works wonders in this respect.

and more. I know that when my wife and I started the program, the Web site

proved to be a terrific help.

Another thing to ask is this: how long ago did you read the book? It might be

a great idea to re-read it. Even having implemented the program for more than

a year, I've re-read the book a couple of times. And I always look forward to

reading it the next time. It always provides a matchless " shot of

inspiration. " It explains the essence and meaning of the program like nothing

else. With each re-reading, I find that I learn new things. Though presented

simply, the content of the book compresses a wealth of real-life experience.

I find that relating my new found experience to the book's content produces

new insights with each reading - which is a real credit to the book's depth.

Another terrific source is Hussman's unofficial support site, " Why the

Body-for-LIFE Program Works, " at www.hussman.com/eas. It explores several

aspects of the science behind the program. Bill ' own book omits much

of this for the sake of simplicity. The site includes the title essay,

frequently asked questions, and more. It offers some thoughts about checking

calorie consumption that might interest you. It think the information can be

quite helpful. But given that you have limited time, and given the need to

focus on basics rather than technical details, you should be aware that

studying the material at the Hussman site may be less " urgent " for you than

learning the fundamentals in the book and at the www.bodyforlife.com Web site.

To keep you accountable, check in with the group each week telling us how your week went. Be honest about your nutrition intake, your workouts, and how you feel. Also inform us of your progress, no matter how small you think it is. This program is about progress, not perfection. It's really hard to change your whole life around in 12 weeks. But you can do it.

Best results come from waiting an hour after exercise to eat. I wouldn't short change yourself. You can't expect the program to give you maximum results if you don't follow it to a "T". You are worth everything doing this program will give you.

If you don't like eating so close to bed time then move your meals from 3 hours apart to 2 1/2 or 2 hours between meals.
