Absolutely. Fear not.

I haven't had anyone notice or ask about my BPEI-related scarring or

ptosis since primary school in about 1970 or so (when I was 9)? It's

just not visible to the casual observer.

Any strange looks I get these days (mostly from children - I like to

stare back at them and poke out my tongue) are because my eyes are not

aligned (strabismus) and one or the other is 'asleep' and turned inwards

at any given moment. Most disconcerting for them, I'm sure.

Results can vary, of course, depending on things like the skill of one's

surgeon, age at surgery and the severity of one's BPEI symptoms. I've

seen BPEI survivors who look great and others good but not so great.

Either way, we get by pretty well.

Not really I think i am on a wild goose chase. I was told that KBR are

looking for medics to work in Kuwait. 84 hrs a week 7/7 and after 8 wks 1

wks leave. Paying excellent money however sent my cv and absolutely no word

back. So to answer your question i know diddly squat mate.

Well so far Neil all i'm doing is spending lots of money on courses getting

qualified to work offshore. That requires several certifactes ie

1. offshore rig medic course approx £2500

2. offshore survival course approx £500

3. offshore Medical approx £ 100

After completing all the above you have to find an agency willing to take

you on. Very difficult as im a rookie meaning never been offshore. That does

not help you to get offshore agencies prefer Medics with experience. I know

what your thinking have to start somewhere (catch 22 situation). So

currently im not doing to well i am constantly sending my Cv/Resume to many

companies with nil effect at the moment. However dont let this put you off

as luck plays a part in this game right company right time requiring a Medic

and Bingo your offshore!!. I'm sure i will get offered a chance soon, the

guys who are on the remote Medics site are very helpful, will always let you

know who is looking for medics. Ian Sharpe is a good source of info (owner

of this site). Anyway if you need any help in getting round the site ask

someone else!! ha ha only joking drop me a line.

Hi

Just stay consistent and do your LL breaths 5 to 6 days a week and drink

the water and you'll be very happy with the results. I don't normally

measure because I'm afraid of not measuring in the same spot each time.

So I'd rather go by the way my clothes are fitting me, my mirror, and the

compliments that I receive.

Keep breathing, it works!!!!

Love, Liz

Hello and welcome to our group.

Try to remember that the most important thing is how you feel inside your

clothes. I have seen people who were measuring and they said they could not see

the results on the tape measure show as much as they were feeling, yet they were

dropping sizes and they KNEW they were smaller. There are so many places on our

bodies that are benefiting and we could not begin to measure each and every

square inch on ourselves, so it may be the best to just measure your success by

how you feel, more energy, sleeping better and by things like how your clothes

fit and feel when you wake up with a whole new attitude each morning.

Be kind to yourself and don't push yourself too hard. The more relaxed you are

the easier it is for your body to release toxins, fat and stress. Slow down and

enjoy your life. You body will respond to this kind of nurturing in many ways.

Have a wonderful day,

Thank you ever so much! my doc said that to me also. And when i get my logical head on i know it's true. I haven't had a cold for 2 years even though others around me have and when i got a stomach bug two months ago i fought it off much faster than those around me did!! I know i should stop worrying but it's hard. All i can think about is my symptoms and how i wish it would all go away. Last night i made a huge mistake - strawberries and cream!! Today i'm suffering BIG time!! My biggest symptom is oral thrush and that comes back real bad when i have the other bad symptoms. I really want to get this cretin under control and sometimes i am positive but at the mo i'm pretty down. I bought s book the other day and i've started reading that. I'm going to go home and read some more of it tonight. He's real positive. that should perk me up hopefully!

(age 11) has more seizure activity just prior to being sick and

during the first few days of illness, regardless if there is fever involved.

Have they ever recommended Diastat for unusual episodes like this? We have

Diastat on hand for to avoid having to go to the ER or call the

paramedics, both whom know very little about epilepsy and current

treatments. I would rather not waste hours in the ER, catching god knows

what other illnesses while you are waiting. Don't get me wrong, there are

times when it is urgent enough to be there. I would talk to your Neuro

about a plan to save you from trips to the ER and visits from your friendly

paramedics! Also check with your pharmacist to be sure the OTC cold meds

are compatible with her AED's.

Hope it helps. Good luck.

Hi Everyone,

is not doing too good! We spent last night and this morning in the

ER due to her having grand mals. Last night she had one and seemed to come

out of it, then when she went to sleep, I checked on her about 1/2 hour

later and she was making strange sounds, so when I turned her over her eyes

were turned to the left and they had a glassy look to them so I took her to

the ER, while there she did fine and we were told to bring her home and that

if she had another one to bring her back and this morning at around 5:30 am

she had another one so I called the paramedics and they took her to the ER

and while there she got better. She has never had two grand mals this close

and now I'm really worried as to what's happening to my baby, I know she's

13yo but mentally she's so young and so strong. I try to act strong in

front of my family, but I just break down when I'm alone because I don't

know what to do at this point. I am so scared. Her neuro was contacted by

the ER and he just told them to have me raise 's meds since she's

got a cold and for the last two days, I had given her Robitussin CF and I

don't know if this was not a good idea. All of yesterday she had that

glassy look in her eyes, so I don't know if it was from the Robitussin or

the cold. Anyway, I've been trying to get her to take a nap and she just

refuses, but a little while ago she had an aura which lasted seconds. I'm

not sure that I want to keep her on the Trileptal or if I should ask our

neuro to change meds. I'm just too tired to think. I would appreciate any

advice. Thanks for listening. God Bless!

Welcome. Consider taking your son off dairy products and wheat while you learn

more about the gluten-free, casein-free diet.

Chelate (Key-late) comes from the Greek word for claw and means to use certain

substances (on list genreally refers to ALA (alpha lipoic acid and/or DMSA

(dimercapto succinic acid) to " grab onto " toxins (on this list often refers to

mercury, lead, and arsenic) and escort them out of the body. If your son has

any mercury amalgam dental fillings, you can't safely chelate until he has those

removes according to proper protocol by a mercury-free dentist.

I read a lot of the posts and I am not sure what Phenol is and how
Epsom Salt does? Also what does Chelate mean?
I have not done anything like this for my son, but I am very
I don't have him on any diet, he has lots of aggressions toward his
Even though I didn't enjoy the cruise I went on, it was definitely not

boring. Most people I know who have been on a cruised loved the

experience.

But I do love New York. I have a sister who lives there. No reason but

for money we couldn't cruise first and then return to NYC to a

brownstone. Maybe I should have played Mega Millions yesterday.

I'll tell you where to go!
