Guest guest
A vaccine containing mercury given to babies when they are eight weeks old is to be scrapped amid fears of a link with autism. The move follows recent research in America that suggests a connection between the mercury used to preserve the whooping cough vaccine, and autism. The jab, without mercury, will be given as part of a new five-in-one vaccine. The Department of Health has always maintained there is no evidence of such a link. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3543900.stm The whooping cough vaccine contains mercury Saturday, 7 August, 2004, 06:03 GMT 07:03 UK

Guest guest
The whooping cough -- or pertussis -- vaccine has long been associated with seizure disorders. Some seizures can manifest as symptoms of " mental illness " . I think we are finally going down the right road in preventing some of the conditions called " mental illness " -- brain damage may be more appropriate -- but someone needs to gather all the pieces of the puzzle into one box. > > > > A vaccine containing mercury given to babies when they are eight > weeks old is to be scrapped amid fears of a link with autism. > The move follows recent research in America that suggests a > connection between the mercury used to preserve the whooping cough > vaccine, and autism. > > The jab, without mercury, will be given as part of a new five-in-one > vaccine. > > The Department of Health has always maintained there is no evidence > of such a link. > > > > http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3543900.stm > > The whooping cough vaccine contains mercury > > Saturday, 7 August, 2004, 06:03 GMT 07:03 UK
