What this is about is the doctor being able to pocket the cash and not have

to pay someone to do the paperwork to get reimbursed from the insurance

company. Many shrinks do this -- it's a cash and carry business -- that's why

he has

a private jet. Time to issue ultimatums. Are you there in these session

where this quack is talking about his acquired wealth??? I'd be doing some

really loud screaming and yelling, but then the shrink is acting just like any

drugh pusher.

concerned about my possible legal involvement just by knowing this

information and not doing anything about it, if it is illegal. What

sources can you use to check this out -- calling the Medical Board,

maybe?? and just ask questions FIRST.

***** An audit on his " business " records, plus business and personal bank

accounts would show how the checks and cash were handled. Accomplished by

an investigation ... ONLY if it is reported to possibly your local

Medical Board. It may NOT be illegal cause he may be legally reporting

it. You don't know that. Ask good sources first.

***** Doesn't have to if patient is willing to pay cash. Do you live in a

50-50 State where the spouse is 50% responsible for finances and assets?

I'd check that out to make sure you don't get pulled into mounting unpaid

debt that isn't being paid for. And your level of legal involvement for

your " suspected " issues here.

***** Have you considered going into an appointment with your husband

with a tape recorder, then asking the psych doc for a receipt of the cash

payment, then copying the prescription before it's filled, then reporting

him to your local Medical Board with this evidence? This especially

applies if this doctor is writing prescriptions for an out of state/out

of country person. Create the evidence........

I'd be " even more concerned " about what you are suspecting could make you

a part of this (suspected) scheme .... if and when it gets uncovered. Is

it time to legally protect yourself, and take action??? How is this

affecting you? Do you want to continue living with a drugged-out zombie

for a spouse and sacrifice your quality of life?
