Sometimes I wake up crying. I have a CD player I can set to repeat, and I have several CD's that are soothing music. When I remember to set up the player at night, I don't have bad dreams. They say we all dream, but I don't usually remember the dreams unless they scare me awake......the music keeps them from happening....... Are you menopausal? Nightsweats are one of the " blessings " of menopause. Of course, you are tired. Your body is fighting pain all the time, and that's tiring. If you are menopausal, that just adds to the problem as your body is working very hard to make the hormonal change too. And, of course, you don't sleep well.....just when you might go into deep restorative sleep, something aches and hauls you back into light sleep or wakefullness. Those who practice meditation tell me it's calming, restorative, and peaceful.....but it's very hard to get into a meditative state when some joint or other starts screaming and forces you to move around to relieve it. And then, if you are " blessed " with a cat, it will jump on you just as you are about to reach that meditative state, or fall into sleep! Guest guest
I am at that wonderful age of menapause. I am 44 y/o. I guess I never even thought about that part. I also have a cat and two dogs. They are wonderful and that also could be an issue. I have a husband that snores and wrestles in his sleep (thanks for King size beds!!!!) I worked a really high stress position for many years and was able to quit my job about 1 1/2 years ago. I did not work for that past year and 1/2 just trying to get my health under control and now I have a great job. I am working at a preschool, 3 days a week in the office. I am having some trouble with indigestion lately and think this could be from the mobic. I have an appointment coming up again soon. Thanks for letting me vent. Sometimes I feel like my poor husband never hears that I have good days.... and I do.... just not many. Take care, Ina
Guest guest
Hi Ina, Prednisone at high doses (above 10mg/day) gave me terrible nightmares! Take care, Steph in VAIna <trinket62@...> wrote: Does anyone have horrible dreams from all of the medications? I have been having really bad dreams and I think it is from the tramadol. Any thoughts? I have such a hard time with the pain meds... making me itch or night sweats..... I am always tired...I never seem to get a good night sleep anymore. I was dianoised last year with RA and Osteoarthitis. I have been battling joint pain and fatigue for years. I have had surgery on both elbows (ulnar nerves), both wrists, both shoulders, and now the right knee (twice... last year and again this year) I feel like a walking surgery!! The best thing is that I still have the aches and pain. My doctor from 1995 to 2005 kept telling me that I was stressed and this why I have pain. Put me on antidepressants. I have had a positive ana since 1995. We moved to a new state in 2005 and before I went to the doctor, I wrote down every test and surgery that I had. The new Doctor was wonderful!!!! She ran all kinds of tests and sent me to a Rheumatoid Doc. I have been on meds for just over a year and feel like a weight has been lifted!!! I want to write my old doc and tell him, but I just can't do that yet... I still get to emotional when I start the letter. I could not believe that a doctor would really listen to me and not tell me it was all in my head..(because I was a single mom raising 3 boys) But my Doc in Ohio was truly a blessing!!!! She also suffers from RA, so she could really relate to me. Sorry, I guess I just needed to vent!!!!!Take care everyone,Ina . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Never underestimate the power of a small, dedicated group of people to change the world -- indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
