I'm about in the same boat you are. I live alone so keep a cell phone with me in the event I fall or get down and can't get up, but so far haven't had to use it. I am stubborn and try to help myself do whatever someone thinks I can't<G> When I have a real bad flare I have to put an extender on the commode and I keep ginger tinctured in rubbing alcohol to brush on the effected joints to relieve some of the pain. Every litle helps. I gav some to my neighbor and she has bee using it every night for 4 years and says it really helps her. Lee
