Guest guest
I saw that report, too, Carol. Just broke my heart. There is so much more to obesity than diet and exercise: hormones and genes play a major role. I dieted myself up to a high of 312. I am so thankful to have found Dr. R. Margaret in St. Louis > Hi all, > > Did anyone see the A & E special last night about the diet wars? It was scary to see what we have put ourselves through to stay thin. I could really relate with ALOT of the people on the diet programs but I felt bad because I know that for me - a diet was just temporary and that when I did gain the weight back - there was usually another 5-10 pounds additional! Dr R has been such a god send for me and i have a NORMAL life - no deprevation or feeling hungry anymore and almost nothing that I can't have if I really want it. I just don't want alot of it anymore! I feel like my life is mine now and I am LOVING it!!! > > > Carol H > Mich > MGB: 01/07/2002 - Dr R > 268/195 > > >
Guest guest
obesity doesn't mean wrong eating habits ! on some people it does, on others it doesn't - people that didn't deal with it for years can't say, what whe read in books is right for some, but bullsh... for others BTD helps - this and Dr. s book helped me the most so far all my bloodtests are great, I feel good and don't have healthproblems - and the most important : I DON'T LET ANYBODY STRESS ME ANYMORE BECAUSE OF MY WEIGHT AND I THINK I'M BEAUTYFUL LIKE I AM AND I DON'T HAVE TO BE THIN AS LONG AS I'M HEALTHY love
Guest guest
You go girl! Another factor I forgot to mention in the possible reason for increased morbidity in the obese without overt health symptoms is the fact that many diagnostic tests do not work on obese people, even very large people. My son is 6'8 " and obese. When he had appendicitis, they almost let it rupture while running tests. The MRI would not get a complete scan of his digestive tract. He was basically too long. As obesity unfortunately is becoming the norm, this will probably be corrected soon. Could you elaborate on Dr. , full name and a book title or website. I'm always open to new information. My nutritionist thinks women don't get their weight under control until their hormones are balanced. She was shocked however that my Zn/Cu ratio and most others were good by hair analysis. I'm 50 with no menopause symptoms other than the insomnia which has resolved with BTD...Yeah!, but I haven't had hormone testing done. The Zn/Cu ratio would have given a hint of estrogen dominance. I am not advocating obesity, I just think there are probably other factors that just haven't been identified. C-reactive protein was only recently added to the list. I was OK there too. > obesity doesn't mean wrong eating habits ! > on some people it does, on others it doesn't - people that didn't deal with > it for years can't say, what whe read in books is right for some, but > bullsh... for others > > BTD helps - > this and Dr. s book helped me the most so far > > all my bloodtests are great, I feel good and don't have healthproblems - > and the most important : > I DON'T LET ANYBODY STRESS ME ANYMORE BECAUSE OF MY WEIGHT > AND I THINK I'M BEAUTYFUL LIKE I AM AND I DON'T HAVE TO BE THIN AS > LONG AS I'M HEALTHY > > love >
Guest guest
You know I think I remember you guys talking about Hilda (?) if it's about detox, etc. I've been reluctant about that, but will probably end up being the pitch person for it if I can convince myself to try it. > > obesity doesn't mean wrong eating habits ! > > on some people it does, on others it doesn't - people that didn't > deal with > > it for years can't say, what whe read in books is right for some, > but > > bullsh... for others > > > > BTD helps - > > this and Dr. s book helped me the most so far > > > > all my bloodtests are great, I feel good and don't have > healthproblems - > > and the most important : > > I DON'T LET ANYBODY STRESS ME ANYMORE BECAUSE OF MY WEIGHT > > AND I THINK I'M BEAUTYFUL LIKE I AM AND I DON'T HAVE TO BE THIN AS > > LONG AS I'M HEALTHY > > > > love > >
Guest guest
Well, guess what = upon doing further research I found this article and toward the end it actually states that in the future a vaccination may be introduced to prevent "obesity caused by a virus". How convenient!! Joyce

Guest guest
Not quite sure what you are saying . Were you under the care of a private doctor previously and if so, what medication was this private doctor giving you that your GP has now stopped. What reason have they given for not giving you a referral for a gastric bypass?. Luv - Sheila Is anyone having trouble where you can't get referral for gastric bypass even though GP suggested having stopped the private who cancelled saying you have to take toxic medication [ shouldn't be used if had heart problem] again used for those who overeat because of NICE guidelines . How does one get support over this ? Had same problem re apnea because admin appeared to be in charge and can only deal with fixed rigid criteria .Surely this is a health & safety risk!.
