Guest guest
that is great for people who like pot. I don't so. I will stick to the conventional drugs thank you! Pot is very easily obtained in the USA as well. Donna
Guest guest
Hi Alley, I haven't had a biopsy in four years. The doctor says I need to retreat. There was only a small amount of scarring four years ago. Meghan
Guest guest
Hi everyone, I got the results of my viral load yesterday. Not what I had hoped for. It was positive. Viral load was 1,100,000, more than when I started treatment. The doctor wants me to start over, and I just can't do it. I was terribly sick the whole time and I still have terrible headaches, not true migranes. The doc won't prescribe a migrane medication. He says it won't help. Dr. Vanphiel is coming to town next month. He wants me to see this doctor. He says he is working on a new kind of interferon, not even sure if it works. Does anyone know anything about this doctor or what the new medication might be? Meghan
Guest guest
Hi Meghan, I am not happy at all about your news. How is your ALT and AST? My heart goes out to you not wanting to go through treatment again but...You need to have all the facts to make a good decision. Guest guest
HI.Sorry to hear that.I know how you feel.I hvn.t heard about a new kind of interferon apart from the PEG and PEGASYS. What I do know is they.re working on protease inhibitors and it.s very promising, also the side-effects are minimal.There.re trials commencing in the US mabye you should get some info on this.Goodluck,. post treatment blues Hi everyone, I got the results of my viral load yesterday. Guest guest
Hi Meghan... I've never heard of that doctor and don't know of any new type of interferon beyond Schering's peg or Roche's Pegasys. A lot of work is being done with protease inhibitors but that's not interferon. It seems to me that if your doctor won't prescribe anything for your headaches, you need to find a doctor who will. Alley had a terrible time with migraines during treatment too. Is your doctor a headache specialist (guess they are neurologists that specialize in headaches) that he knows your headaches are not migraines. And if they aren't migraines, there are still medications for all types of headaches. No one should suffer unnecessarily...and headaches are treatable...even if you have to try several different meds before you find one that works for you. You might try getting obstinate with your doctor about finding a medication for your headaches. Sometimes we have to remind them that they don't know everything, that they aren't god and that we know what we are experiencing much better than they do. You might also try accupuncture. I find accupuncture to be wonderful for a wide variety of things. It got me through treatment relatively side effect free and would even help clear the brain fog. It's definitely helps with aches and pains....and I've gone in with severe headaches and walked out with no headache at all. Might be worth a try for you if it's financially feasible and you are willing to believe that it can help. Sorry about your viral load, but I think that 1.1 million is still considered a moderate range. Prior to losing my job over a year ago when I had my last PCR, my viral load was 4.2 million and that was mid range as I recall. I have no idea what it is now....the job I got as my unemployment was running out doesn't offer insurance so I have been unable to have any tests done. Good luck with everything Meghan....and fight for yourself and treatment for those headaches. Blessings Tatezi post treatment blues Hi everyone, I got the results of my viral load yesterday. Guest guest
Hi Tatezi, Thanks for trying to help. I have been to accupuncture for eight weeks straight. My daughter is a physical therapist, and has more knowledge than a chiropractor. Nothing helped. I would think you were right about buried feelings, if I was a headache sufferer before treatment, but I wasn't, inspite of burying a son and nearly burying a husband. My diet is fairly healthy, lots a fruits and some vegetables. Sugar, however is my downfall, and I know that is bad. I am trying to cut back in that area. I am 1 b and was negative at 3 months, but positive at 6 months post treatment. I still have no strength to speak of. I wish I would hear from DB. He wrote about changes he made and I didn't understand what he meant, which helped him with his back and sinus problems. It is so frustrating after so long, my life is still so messed up. The new drugs , whatever they are will be better than the narcotics I am taking, and not getting much help from. Eventually, maybe they will stop and I can get back to normal, whatever that is. Thanks, Meghan

Guest guest
If the headaches are because of built up toxins, adding more chemicals may or may not help. I would suggest that whether or not you take the suggested treatment, you do something every day that causes you to sweat. I had a friend who had persistent headaches, nondiagnosable, who lived a very sedentary life. he started walking a couple of miles a day, and they cleared up. One effect of excercise is sweating. The skin is the body's largest pathway for shedding toxins. We dump them in urine, feces, and sweat. If you are not sweating regularly, the buildup can cause headaches. You can sweat thru excercise, herbs like cayenne and peppermint, hot baths, saunas, it really doesn't matter, but you should sweat everyday, profusely at least a few times a week. I make no guarantuees it will help your particular case, but other than the cold sweat of terror, there is no type of way of inducing sweating that is bad for you. Unless of course you are a total couch potato, don't go run five miles the first day and all that. Even in the terror, the sweating is good, jsut probably the stress will off set the benefit :-)

Guest guest
Hi.For sweating try the sauna, also good for other things, make sure you stay inside long enough for your organs to sweat, may take some practice,it also gives you a wonderfull relaxed feeling after you take the cold shower.Willem.
