Guest guest
Hi Group, I am sorry if I should not have posted about my new website for Hep C FreeHall of Fame. I am also sorry that tatez took it so hard. Honey, we are looking for answers here....Wouldn't ever want anyones feelings hurt but exclusion sometimes can bring answers to the service faster. The Dr's certainly aren't always talking to us and if these people are sustained, relapsed, undectible... have suggestions, I am gonna listen.. These people are extreamly important for us who are fighting with the treatment or without treatment. I personally feel it is the beginning of a VITAL website loaded with information that we could all use. Hope this makes it clearer... Guest guest
Hi, I just started the group so I imagine there will be things to work out and I am open to suggestions. So your feedback is good. In our personal walk with tx and HCV we find a lack of GREAT FEEDBACK about successful tx. My thoughts are that a general site, kind of a " Central House of Data " of nothing but the good news of recovery does not exist. We are always thrilled about a success story in each of our groups but often the post get lost and one really has to search it out to find the the sustained responders. The other thing we've noticed, is a lot of folks get " clear " and then go about their life away from our community. This may be a way to lasso the stories for all of us to be inspired by when we need to. I would like to send each person an electic card or placque and hopefully it can become something wonderful for each of us to strive for ... Becoming Undectable... and getting to finally be on this great list of honor. Like a star on your forhead... For the folks that do tx a few times to get clear as examples may be the shot in the arm that someone needs when they have perhaps not responded to a certain tx.. to keep going. Don't think it has to be a site of dialog, back and forth just a site of success. We can dialog on our own private choices of web sites like this one or my other site. I don't know but I am open.. I think all sites should gather together and promote this Hall of Fame Idea.... Inspiration, positive feedback, something to aspire to, something to help non believers belive... Can't help but think it is a fabulous idea... How can it help? Just seeing the 3 that have already posted has helped greatly as I have gotten several happy letters saying it made their day. I am totally open to anything that will make that exciting concept work. tatezi@... writes: << But how will that hall of fame help people find hope in their battle when people who are non responders are not allowed to join the group. Guest guest
Hummm... I think you are making this harder than it really needs to be. Let's look at any hall of fame. Gromans Chinese theater where the stars who have obtained a status are put into a permanent star in the side walk. The grammys. The s. You ask.... << How can it help non responders if it is only open to those who are sustained responders and those who responded but relapsed? >>> Not every movie star will get a star on the side walk, not every actor gets a grammy, not every singer gets a number 1 hit.... But they all learn from the ones who have... What in the world is having you get stuck in that I am excluding Non responders? Everyone can join the site, everyone can read what others did...so they can benifit from " Success Stories " coming their way to remind them --THEY CAN DO IT.. AND IT IS BEING DONE! Honey nobody is being excluded. Everyone can read the success stories. Only the Sustained responders will post however, as I don't think we need another dialog list. Private discussions are for list like this one. If there are 100 postings on that site, I want it to be 100 stories we can all learn from. The good, the bad and the ugly of tx.. The pharm companys are gathering the data to tell us... I also think, if thier are other sits dedicated to Hep C Free Stars that I would like to link to them... as well... Why are yo saying that the list would only welcome folks with successful tx and that all others are not welcome, I never said that. Geeezzze. YOU SAID... >> after reading your several posts, my take is that non-responders don't count in this group>> The most important people on this list IS THE NON RESPONDERS!!! They are the ones who could probably benefit more than ANYONE from reading from real live people a true account of how things went for them. Maybe there is a regime that someone has followed that they are not aware of that may help.. Maybe there is a new drug that helped someone, that may beneifit a persons decisions about tx... Maybe after reading the dilegence that some folks apply to finally reach SVR (some as you know doing tx 3 and 4 + times ) will remind them not to give up. You are not reading things right honey.. You are set against it and I am not exactly sure what your situation is... But, I assure you... creating a Central House Of Data whereby important roads of recovery are shared for all is nothing but a benefit to all. Now, more than ever I am certain of it. We all know not all list are for everyone... So, if you reading a bunch of great news concerning peoples success stories which include Sustained Viral Response stories, Relaps stories, and even sharinng stories about tx that was NOT successful is not for you then so be it. The success stories will be shared among those who have responded and with those who need to hear the success to know that if they keep fighting they too might eventually beat this dragon. Good for you that by not ever hearing success stories would sure make you want to keep fighting. I would venture to say that most people who hear a success story or a few hundred would be even more mentally prepared to keep on keeping on. I agree that it will be quite comforting to know that those who have responded graduate from a general support group to a " special " group where non responders are of course allowed. Guest guest
