Long story short, I have had back problems lower for years. My hubby has had a

good job for most of the time and got hit by the laid off bug, september the

25th.....He hates of course being off work and isn't a lazy type. He worked for

Falcon Jet a major corp here in Arkansas. He got lucky and missed out on the

first two cut backs but got laid off the third one. We will have no insurance as

of the 25th of November. I go to pain management and ortho doctors etc....You

all know the roll and the costs of all that. I take generic soma generic oxy

generic Wellbutin but I also take Celebrax......Ya ya know the next

question....Is there a med out there that does the same as celebrax. Have taken

Mobic tummy troubles....Lyrica personally made me werid out.....Neurotin also. I

am trying to find a cheaper replacement for a God Send medication.....Any ideas

would be appreciated

check on-line for the big pharmaceutical companies that have programs that

dispense for very low pay or no pay medicine.. Check all your meds on-line (who

makes them) and contact the manufacturer.  also try www.rxoutreach.com  i got

this info from another group member here. hope they can help you also, wyld

Thank you so much.... I reckon I am also having second thoughts about having the

ortho guy fix what he could back in March.......He said I had three problems and

he could fix possibly one of them but the nerve damage and the bone on bone was

par for the course....Now to add to the mess I am a spondy person

too....Spondylolistheses.........Big word for shifting off tract. But i manage

well. I Knew when hubby got laid off we were not going to be able to put out the

money for the expenise medications. So I have yes, bad girl! Tried to deal with

1/2 the medication I am supposed to take a day. Only ended up locked up once!

LOL ER visit later....But I manage. I work Monday thru Friday and do ok with the

medication I supposed as far as my L1 to S1 messed up completely...crumbly is

how pain managment said it to me. Kind of like Jenga~ LOL Dont shake it!

I am not a jnkie and reading over my last post I reckon those that didn't really

know me it might of come across that way. We just hope and pray a door opens and

he gets on somewhere with insurance soon. They do say, when one door shuts

another opens. We are worker not folks that want handouts by no means. I even

foster abandoned doggies! LOl Everybody eats when they come and that is how we

are! Even the squirrels! LOl Thanks for replying to my post. I will search that

out and see if i can get a bit of help on the celebrax. Might be able to take

one every other day and get buy soon! Cross fingers

sister glenda, i was a misdiagnosed spondy girl. ankisloskingspondilitis, not

sure if i still can spell that right, basically hunch back, was so wonderful to

hear while preggers at age 25. turned out not to be as i did not form the hump

and was told i had some kind of arthritis we now know to have been precourse for

DDD, osteo, spurs, stenosis, etc. been in your shoes many years without

insurance, taking too much otc so that now i get gi bleeds. we do what we have

to do, work when should not, still have children to raise and bills to pay. you

sound like a wonderful family and i am so sorry you are having these struggles

to deal with on top of being in pain and putting on a happy face for the world

to see, not complaining, seeking answers and relief is not a hand out my friend.

i hope one of those programs works for you. i have my paperwork ready and

waiting for my next dr appointment with my pain management dr but surgery

tomorrow comes first.it sounds

like you have a wonderful man, give him an extra hug and kiss, as not all are

blessed with understanding and support. my x was not kind, he felt ripped off of

a healthy wife. anyway, hope a job very soon comes your hubbys way with full

benefits and the programs supply what you need. sometimes all we can do is take

one day at a time and just keep plugging along best we can. you don't sound

crazy to me at all, take care, wyld

I am not a jnkie and reading over my last post I reckon those that didn't really

know me it might of come across that way. We just hope and pray a door opens and

he gets on somewhere with insurance soon. They do say, when one door shuts

another opens. We are worker not folks that want handouts by no means. I even

foster abandoned doggies! LOl Everybody eats when they come and that is how we

are! Even the squirrels! LOl Thanks for replying to my post. I will search that

out and see if i can get a bit of help on the celebrax. Might be able to take

one every other day and get buy soon! Cross fingers

good job for most of the time and got hit by the laid off bug, september the

Falcon Jet a major corp here in Arkansas. He got lucky and missed out on the

first two cut backs but got laid off the third one. We will have no insurance as

of the 25th of November. I go to pain management and ortho doctors etc....You

all know the roll and the costs of all that. I take generic soma generic oxy

generic Wellbutin but I also take Celebrax.... ..Ya ya know the next

question.... Is there a med out there that does the same as celebrax. Have taken

Mobic tummy troubles.... Lyrica personally made me werid out.....Neurotin also.

I am trying to find a cheaper replacement for a God Send medication.. ...Any

ideas would be appreciated

Thank you so much.... I reckon I am also having second thoughts about having the

ortho guy fix what he could back in March....... He said I had three problems

and he could fix possibly one of them but the nerve damage and the bone on bone

was par for the course....Now to add to the mess I am a spondy person

too....Spondylolist heses.... .....Big word for shifting off tract.

I work Monday thru Friday and do ok with the

medication I supposed as far as my L1 to S1 messed up completely.. .crumbly is

how pain managment said it to me. Kind of like Jenga~ LOL Dont shake it!
