Guest guest
Dave a most interesting post indeed- I am a member of J-Hopkins outpatient bi polar research-- actually entered a gene study they did 20 years ago, and I am going to leave them part of my estate when I pass away for research for Bi Polar-- you could not have found a better place to take your wife to. If you don't mind me asking, how much Vicodin was your wife on daily? I am taking 30 mg a day and it gets me out of bed and functioning. I am allergic to NSAIDS-- and SSI's make me manic. The drugs to treat the pain I am on are very limited. Thus the Hydrocodone. I have Fibromylagia, and also muscle condition called PMR,( google it) and too, the C -Spine issues that are really painful for which I am getting the epidurals for-- so 3 different chronic problems--and only one oral medication that I am able to take--lyrica was terrible and any of the other meds like cymbalta, etc conflicted with stablizing my bi polar -- i am between a rock and a hard place . She was there getting evaluated and treated for chronic migraines. Unfortunately what they tried didn't help, but they told her there was only a 10-15% chance of success going in. The reason why was because she has had migraines since she was 16-17 and daily headaches since her mid 20's. She is now 45. They told her that she waited too long to seek help. That after such a long period as 20 years the brain remaps itself and thinks pain is the norm. I'm sure this is the case with many of us at this point. They also told her that taking opiates such as Vicoden actually hurts in the end. That they would never be able to help her until she got off the Vicoden, which she had been on for 3 years. She ended up taking herself off cold turkey. It took her about 1.5 weeks of hell, but she did it. That is not how they wanted her to do it, they wanted her to come into the hospital and they would detox her. Anyway long term use of opiates just changes the way our nerve endings and brain perceive pain and how our body fights it. It takes so much more pain killers to mask the pain after years of opiates and it hinders the bodies own ability to fight it. But that's not why I wrote this. I was going to stay with her in Baltimore, but I was going to get a hotel room. Well the nursing staff surprised us. They said since she had a private room I could stay with her. So they found me a bed. I got a regular hospital bed with adjustable head and feet. Well.... I slept like a rock, I never sleep at home. My pain level was way down. I skipped over 1/2 my meds and didn't miss them. I also get a massage every night before bed. I didn't get or need that. Besides being adjustable the bed was also firm. I like a firm bed. My wife on the other hand had a hard time sleeping because she likes a softer bed. So we are definitely buying an adjustable bed. I'm spending $55 a week on massage right now, that really helps but it is short term. So I may as well make payments on the bed. The Sleep number in a split frame with adjustments is like $6200.00 To me that's a car not a bed, but it is a long term investment and for me and my wifes pain it's a need not a luxury. We did find a less expensive manufacturer called Comfort Aire which is the originator of the sleep number bed. Theirs cost about $3800. We are going to look at it this weekend. The least expensive option would be to buy a used Craftmatic or Hospital bed. I see them in the newspaper often for about $2-300.00 But that means we would have to sleep separate. I told my wife long ago that when we sleep in separate beds it's over, we are big snugglers. So for ME, the right bed made a world of difference. Guest guest
only if you are ready to be cured (and your mind is not closed) this is serious...i'm giving you the websites because i don't have the energy to explain it all....he saved my life after falling 8 ft. straight down on my head....all (50) experts told me i would either never walk again or would DIE! not one!!! even thought about the neck.. they took xrays and looked at some grains on it (which they don't understand) and told me i had irreversable arthritis of the neck. after 5 months leading to almost total paralysis, i looked at the clear sky, and from the depth of my soul i said " i have done all i can, i need help " and that afternoon my ex called to say he talked to a friend with similar symptoms , who escaped from the hospital to get to dr. zimmerman (canepa's predecessore), and dr. zimmerman healed him!! i went..he had a mansion in san jose...a huge!, over 50 people, came every day! from russia, from japan, and all over....from babies to 90 year olds...he is the only one in the WORLD who does this, and you don't have to keep coming back..one treatment, and a possible check up later do the job...he adjusted me (using the xray and the SAM , he adjusts the neck scientifcally in line with the xray, and then has a check up machine, which shows exactly by differential HEAT whether and how much the neck is out...he checks you to begin with, with this machine, to see if your neck is out...if not, he does not treat you...after the adjustment, he retests to see if he got it in... i am only here because of him he has cured rare skin diseases! every!!!! disease can be caused by the neck being out...when we are born, they hang us upside down, when the head is ver heavy! and the neck is still jelly....and many of us may have had a fall (from the changing table etc.) accroding to him, 99% of the population has their neck out to some degree..he has cured me when i had lower back pain, knee pain, thumb pain...you only have to go back if you have another fall or hit, and get problems... i am thinking of quitting this list, because i feel so bad hearing of all your pain that i can't stand it..but i thought i would at least try to give all of you the information....he is really nice, and if you call him he will explain it all to you...(408 244 6335) i am praying for all of you...he gives up a lot to do this, since the fda and all the other chiropractors are after him, because he takes their business away by curing in one! session, rather than having people keep coming back. ariella every nerve in your body goes from the brain through the neck! (underline neck)...the two top vertebra are constructed loose so the head can turn....all the others are fused together more.... any fall or hit (whiplash) can cause those two top vertebra to pop out of line...resulting in the disc sitting on some nerves...it is where the nerves END that you get the problem...you don't necessarily feel anything! in the neck, but rather where the nerves end! this dr. is both a chiropractor and! and ENGINEER...he built a three dimensional x ray machine long before the medical world..( his work is now taken over by dr. canepa (www.canepachiropractic.com), he has two websites..be sure to read both..in the second one he explains his SAM i.e. specific adjustment machine. Guest guest
I know all about this, because it happened to ME. I was almost killed by a dentist who so severely dislodged my Atlas.I was almost KILLED, I was so bad i was foaming at the mouth crawling on the floor etc. Screaming. almost dead. I believe in the theory. My chiropracter actually SAVED my life and he went to Palmer. People and most medical doctors DONT know nor do they understand this at all. They do not know or understand how a crooked cervical neck and atlas can effect a persons body, brain and neurological systems. It effects the knees hips, lumbar EVERYTHING. But you are wasting your time trying to convey this to people. Its too complicated and they wont listen or believe you. I have been trying for years. Go look at the website UPCSPINE.com. Theres another fellow trying to educate the popualtion. But you seem like you are working for him and people are suspicious of you. I believe in the theory but dont really believe in his machine. I will ask my chiro about him and see if he has heard of him. Then too you have to understand, that while This happened to us. Lots of folks have buldging discs, herniations and not every one has a atlas problem like we may have had. There IS other situations with necks that give people serious problems. You have to try and stay open minded at all times. On the other hand, maybe my chiro could have fixed YOU, without the machine. > > only if you are ready to be cured (and your mind is not closed) > > this is serious...i'm giving you the websites because i don't have the energy to explain it all....he saved my life after falling 8 ft. straight down on my head....all (50) experts told me i would either never walk again or would DIE! not one!!! even thought about the neck.. > they took xrays and looked at some grains on it (which they don't understand) and told me i had irreversable arthritis of the neck. > > after 5 months leading to almost total paralysis, i looked at the clear sky, and from the depth of my soul i said " i have done all i can, i need help " and that afternoon my ex called to say he talked to a friend with similar symptoms , who escaped from the hospital to get to dr. zimmerman (canepa's predecessore), and dr. zimmerman healed him!! > > i went..he had a mansion in san jose...a huge!, over 50 people, came every day! from russia, from japan, and all over....from babies to 90 > year olds...he is the only one in the WORLD who does this, and you don't have to keep coming back..one treatment, and a possible check up later do the job...he adjusted me (using the xray and the SAM , he adjusts the neck scientifcally in line with the xray, and then has a check up machine, which shows exactly by differential HEAT whether and how much the neck is out...he checks you to begin with, with this machine, to see if your neck is out...if not, he does not treat you...after the adjustment, he retests to see if he got it in... > > i am only here because of him > > he has cured rare skin diseases! every!!!! disease can be caused by the neck being out...when we are born, they hang us upside down, when the head is ver heavy! and the neck is still jelly....and many of us may have had a fall (from the changing table etc.) > > accroding to him, 99% of the population has their neck out to some degree..he has cured me when i had lower back pain, knee pain, thumb pain...you only have to go back if you have another fall or hit, and get problems... > > i am thinking of quitting this list, because i feel so bad hearing of all your pain that i can't stand it..but i thought i would at least try to give all of you the information....he is really nice, and if you call him he will explain it all to you...(408 244 6335) > > i am praying for all of you...he gives up a lot to do this, since the fda and all the other chiropractors are after him, because he takes their business away by curing in one! session, rather than having people keep coming back. > > ariella > > > > > > > > > every nerve in your body goes from the brain through the neck! > > > " you are what you think about " > > > > > ________________________________ > From: Ann Wood Fuller <gatorma1@...> > neck pain > Sent: Wed, May 5, 2010 8:05:30 AM > Subject: Re: Best thing that ever happened to my back > > > WHOMEVER YOU ARE, LISTEN UP > IF THIS IS SOME KIND OF ADVERTISEMENT ON A SITE THE MODERATOR WILL BE NOTIFIED-- > NO ONE IS TO COME ONTO OR INTO THESE HEALTH ROOMS TO TALK OR ADVERTISE TO OUR GROUP MEMBERS ABOUT " SAVING THEIR LIVES " (TYPICAL COME ON LINE FOR A SCAM) -- > WHAT A DRAMATIC AND INAPPROPRIATE MESSAGE TO ADMINISTER TO A MEMBER WHO HAS SUCH CHRONIC ISSUES AS C- SPINE ISSUES AND PMR-- > I WILL REPORT YOU TO OUR MODERATOR- > ANN WOOD FULLER, PHD > > A poet is, after all, to see > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > From: ariella vanderveen <ariellavsbcglobal (DOT) net> > PainInTheNeck- Back@groups .com > Sent: Wed, May 5, 2010 10:42:24 AM > Subject: Re: [PainInTheNeck- Back] Best thing that ever happened to my back > > ok...don't save your life! > " you are what you think about " > > ____________ _________ _________ __ > From: Ann Wood Fuller <gatorma1 (DOT) com> > PainInTheNeck- Back@groups .com > Sent: Wed, May 5, 2010 7:35:53 AM > Subject: Re: [PainInTheNeck- Back] Best thing that ever happened to my back > > > ????? Guest guest
No I'm not close minded to it at all, in fact its kind of interesting. And dont be insulted or discouraged. But it does happen to be something i know alot about. But honestly its all over the web. I googled it and found it real fast. I doubt? most chiropracters dont like the machine because he is stealing their patients. Most chiropracters i have met, have plenty of patients and MONEY! Its just the medical community that doesnt understand the upper cervical complications. But there are variables and differences in people. Not everyone's Atlas is thrown out that bad, as to get us that sick. Lots of people here, have had fusions to their necks. I understand he uses that machine. But not every neck in the world or every person that hurts has our problem. Dont be so offended. Because you will have a heart attack. Gosh I am sure if my chiro thought that your doc could cure me, he would Come with me to california. So do you have a reverse curve to your neck? cindy > > regular chiropractors can get it in sometimes....but this guy is the only one who has developed a SCIENTIFIC way of doing this...i had a number of chiropractors work on me and they did no good....i appreciate your support, but still find a closedmindedness... > > if you think i'm working for this dr. you are way off!!!! he does not even know i am doing this...but i guess there is no belief in honesty anymore...if after what i wrote you, happened to me, and you think i'm working for the dr. i give up!!! there is no helping people...let's hope some of the others on this list still have ears and eyes to listen for themselves... > > if you want to get angry, get angry and the buy cheap products person...who has no place on this list and can certainly be suspected of working for the company > > but if even one person's life is saved, it will be worth it.... > > the indecency!!! of thinking i'm sitting here in the middle of a lot os difficulties, taking the time to want to help all of you desperate victims of a medical lack of knowledge...i am really INSULTED AND DISCOURAGED TO TRY AND HELP. > > if, as you say, no one will listen...i'll just sign off and forget it!!!! > > " you are what you think about " > > > > > ________________________________ > From: grasshopperx_10 <woody1014@...> > neck pain > Sent: Wed, May 5, 2010 11:49:15 AM > Subject: Re: Best thing that ever happened to my back > > > > > I know all about this, because it happened to ME.
