Guest guest
Glen, can you explain to me what " cam " is? Thanks so much May God Bless you and yours Marie -- Treatment discussions Hi , Everyone is affected by the treatment differently. The number one thing that helps the most is ATTITUDE. Keep your life 'Sunny-side up' and things go much better. Some people even watch funny movies or cartoons after they do their shot. Many people decide to do herbs instead of the shots and pills. If a person decides to do herbs they really need the guidance of an herbalist or Complementary-Alternative Medicine (CAM) practitioner. There is also the idea of using CAM to help the side effects of the Peg and Ribavirin. Whatever route you decide to take, make sure your doctor is aware of anything you are taking that s/he did not prescribe. glenn > > i have left a message before but got no response i figured i would try again..i am new to the group-and i am confused as to treatment for hep-c and just wanted some feed back i live in the las vegas area and i am going to get a refferal for a hep dr. i am just afraid to take the medication for hep c--heard so many horror stories about the side effects-then i read about herbal medications,,was wondering if anyone has actually tried this and if it works or is it all hype???? > any feed back anyone could give me would help..thanks and peace > > > peacehappiness and harmony > > > --------------------------------- > > Bring photos to life! Guest guest
, CAM or Compementry and Alternative Medicine involves medical pratices that are not routinely taught in western medical schools. Some methods include: Ayurvedic Medicine(India), Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Mind-Body Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, Nutritional Counseling and Lifestyle Counseling. Acupuncture and massage are also used. I referred to the " Hepatitis C Choices " distributed by the Hepatitis C Caring Ambassadors Program, www.hepcchallenge.org for this info.
