Guest guest Posted February 19, 2003 Report Share Posted February 19, 2003 I took my first shot of the new Peg-Intron Alfa-2b Yesterday morning 8Am 02-18-02. My dose is 120ug per .5 ml of Alfa-2b with 1000mg of Ribavirin,divided into two 200mg pills in the morning and three 200mg pills in the evening. I was fine for 2.5 hours after the shot. After that I got chills really bad and had to leave work. I stayed in bed with the chills until 4Pm. At that point I got up to use the bathroom. I had a killer headache. So I took two aspirin and went back to bed. The aspirin helped with the chills but not the headache. During this time I was drinking water, this is suppose to help with the side effects. I did get up at 7pm to eat some chicken noodle soup. I took another aspirin at 8pm Then I went to bed at 9pm. The aspirins never helped with the headache but the chills subsided some. I a woke a couple of times in the night covered in sweat. I slept all night, and when I got up this morning I felt better. I still have a headache but not as near as bad. I have not taken any aspirin yet today. I took a shower and was feeling OK not 100% but ok. I just took my morning Ribavirin 30mins ago with my breakfast. I took today off from work so Im going to laydown for a while. I dont know yet how my body reacts to the Ribavirin I'm hoping that the side effects are not as bad as the shot.
