yes,, they are the one that think I don't need CART as per disabled

student's director " say-so " . This is why I went off-campus to file with Office

of

Civil Rights,, it been going on since April of last year, too long....... They

also rejected recommendations from three specialists.

They think that " meaning for meaning " and " word for word " captioning is same

thing. Being a strong lipreader, and having some speech discrimination

(47%), the use " meaning for meaning " text mess me up big time because it doesnt

match what I need to " fall back on " if I miss what was being said..

I thought about it, but no, cuz of so many legal mumbo jumbo that I am

learning this year. I wouldn't be able to read them. Why don't you try to

figure

out what is " on bonk " , this and other " funny " words are confusing me.......

For the time being, I am using interpreters who " supposed " to sign in PSE

with lip synching, and I find they are still confusing me. For example.. they

would sign " lie " for perjury, or " not my problem " for disclaimer, etc

etc,,,, Obviously, it is CART that I need.... Problem is, there isn't many

sign

in legal terms!

Why does it has to be so hard now, to be able to hear alot more with CI than

before,, when i used to do just fine with interpreters....

Lee

PS,,, that word was " en banc " , legal term from France, meaning " in the

bench " and there is alot more legalese, that are so foreign to me.

OK,,

Middle of November, the college got word that I have filed complaint with

OCR (Office of Civil Rights)

Dec 5th, the college agree to 30 days mediation, it failed because they

didn't keep their end of bargain.

On Jan 10th, I wrote to director of deaf service to see if she would be

willing to recommend me for AG Bell scholarship. The deaf service has NOTHING

to

do with the complaint, it was the director of disabled student service (deaf

service's boss). she wrote back saying she will be more than happy to

recommend me.

Today, got email, now she won't recommend me because of the complaint.

This give you the idea?

i hope the word " can't " actually meant " can " .

You can ask your captionist for ideas. According to the investigator that I

am assigned to, she is at a loss as well. She said of all the colleges she

investigated, she never had one that refused to provide CART, usually it the

college would offer CART, but refuse to provide interpreters... She is fully

aware what CART is.

I just hope but am very confident that she will find in my favor.

Lee,

I'm really sorry to hear about your continuing battles with your college and

CART. Does your campus have an ADA Committee? I wonder if they might be able

to provide you with assistance in helping you get the services you have a

right to.

Let me talk to my captionist and see if she has any recommendations...

Lee,

I know exactly what you mean. That's why I stopped using an FM system with

captioning a long time ago -- since the text didn't match up to what I was

hearing. I wonder if an oral interpreter would work better for you?

Would you like me to ask my captionist if she has any further suggestions? I

don't know what kind of help she can offer, but perhaps she knows of another

student (she is a participant on a nationwise network of CART providers) who

has dealt with a similar issue.

Lee,

I meant to type " can " instead of " can't. " Sorry! Looks like I'm having one

of those days where I can't type. I'll talk to my captionist and get back to

you. Hopefully she will have some helpful suggestions to offer. Whatever you

do, I hope you continue to fight this! You've obviously been discriminated

against not only in regards to CART services, but also by your disability

office manager/supervisor for withholding your AG scholarship letter of

recommendation. I get so irked when I read stories about college/university

*disability offices* discriminating against students. Wish I could be there

to help...

Yo, Peg, " all's forgiven " . Just build the device you see on the

group main page, hon, and try it out, there's no thinking involved

yet. You have a condition and a device to test. Get out your

scissors, cloth, thread, battery and wire. Sit down. Cut the

cloth. Peel off the wire insulation. Wind the cloth into a nice

little roll, wrap with thread, tie a knot. Wind the wire into the

battery springy thingy's. Wet the little cloth rolls. Apply to

sinuses, or other infectional sites. Now, please. :) If it's too

harsh, reduce it by making the little cloth rolls longer and leave

the wire away from the ends by a few inches so the cloth hangs over

the end. That will reduce the power level since the electricity has

to travel through the wet cloth without a wire to carry it. Adjust a

bit using this method so your facial skin stays as pretty as ever.

Do this for about 1/2 hour morning and night, moving the electrodes

around. You will get the hang of it. Same as dusting. You see the

dust, you go over and wipe it up. Look up sinuses in google so you

will know exactly where your dust is. Go Peg!

After you test it, then think it over and write us about what

happened so we can think about it. This just too simple, so get

busy.

Of course anti-biotics will balk at MRSA. The R in MRSA

means " resistant " . That's why you need to do this. Why we all need

to know. Peg, we are counting on you, Peg, don't let us down, ok?

:)

Hey - my observation also; an example of the total falacy

of the germ theory & mutation volatility [from the 2%

always left live]. 'Zillin leaves no mutants.

I've had a sinus

> infection for three + months. At any rate doctors keep falling by

the

All 3 are totally different animals from each other.

Tens is to stimulate / relax muscles; uses on the order of

150 volts open ckt & when applied to you - drops to about

75 V for a pulse that lasts about 75 microseconds. Just

doesn't kill bugs; not enough total current.

Rife units attempt to cause the target bug / parasite to

self destruct by resonating their characteristic frequency [or

a set of harmonics at much less power if it happens to

be above the available band of the device]. They have

been at about 10% on - of the time available [means - at

the desired fundamental freq, only 10 % is used - cuts down

the exposure power & makes a large proportion of even

order harmonics not present if a square wave is used].

For viral troubles - note the definition of a virus is a

non-living 'thing' that needs a live cell to infect in

order to replicate and also carries a static charge that

is generally unrecognized [except for the magpower egroup

where a large fast changing magnetic field can supply a

physical force on the virus to cause migration from

locations having negligible blood flow to a place where the

immune system can attack].

Will ordinarily be very helpful. If you can afford the HBC

treatment - you will find a blood oxygen meter helpful -

must show over 95% saturation to be healthy; tells you

how efficient the treatment is, runs around $100 on ebay.

Also allows you to monitor a food grade hydrogen peroxide

diluted IV drip's effectiveness - at a bunch less cost; can

do internally what the HBC does differently.

Be aware of the effect of any kind of glucose on your

immune system. The typical adult consumes 36 tsp of sugar /

high fructose corn syrup [more destructive than sugar, less

expensive & is a principle cause of chronic over weight]

daily. The white cells can do an average of 14 bacteria

destroyed / day when zero glucose is consumed. If 16 tsp is

consumed - can only handle 1 / day; total shutdown at around

20 tsp. [source - mail from a newsletter].

You should consider yourself to be allergic to glucose -

avoid it; study ingredient labels - damned stuff is

everywhere in boxes / cans. Would also help to monitor

your pH; is likely around 5 which supports anaerobic

metabolism, ... .
