Guest guest
WARNING: It's not meant as a nerve stimulator, feeling it does not mean it's better than if you don't feel it. I don't use a pot without a limit resistor, EVER! The pot will allow the current to go high enough to kill without a limiting resistor. Measure with a meter, and if it's .2mA-.4mA it should be fine. Just my experience, consult an electrical engineer! bG > I bought a 15k resistor and put it in series on one of the leads > coming from a 9-volt battery (a new one). > > Couldn't feel a thing. Guest guest
Hi tcjc48, Yeah try it with two batteries. I use the godzilla with 4 batteries in my mouth and it works fine. If you use two battries use the 15k resistor and also the volume control connected in series then that will keep it down lower and still be adjsutable. Also in the mouth you wont feel it that much so dont necessarily go by the feel. when I put the godzilla electrodes in the at 36 volts I dont feel much either. If you have a meter handy you might check to see how much you are gettnig. If you feel it, you may be gettnig too much. Because I can turn the godzilla up to 2 ma in the motuh before I feel much. so good idea to have a meter on it. Take care, V mailto:vman@... Guest guest
NO!!!!. V, Terry's confused, he's not using a std unit, either. He thinks no limit resistor is needed, he's not reading me right, or I'm not clear. If he puts a pot inline with 4 batteries and flips it to zero, he's got several amps..not milliamps, amps. He could be injured or killed. This is unwise when folks are getting their electronics info straight to play like this...I'm out of the discussion. bG > > > I bought a 15k resistor and put it in series on one of the leads > > coming from a 9-volt battery (a new one). > > > Couldn't feel a thing. Guest guest
Wow, V, holy cow... 2 ma in the mouth - that is quite strong. I use mine in the mouth to fight mouth and jawbone infection, and I can only tolerate .75 ma. But that is still more than I can tolerate on the skin, where even .5 ma can be uncomfortable. I once put the electrodes in my mouth to start a session and was careless in turning up the dial - did it too rapidly - and the current surged suddenly to 1.25. Zapped my eyes and brain pretty good. No real damage, but I was uncomfortable for a couple of hours, believe me. Bottom line - be careful until you know your tolerances. Del Re: 15k resistor Hi tcjc48, Yeah try it with two batteries.
