Did you say it only happens during an asthma flare? If so, is there some med

she takes during a flare that she doesn't normally take? Could it be a side

effect of a med? Just a thought --

(mom to , age 7, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has

polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other

defs... and also to Kate, age 3!, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!)

Hi Marti,

she needs to see a gastorenterologist. White stools typically indicate no bile

(which has a drak pigment) in the stool. This may be caused by the liver issues,

and/or gallbaldder disorders.

Some forms of liver degeneration respond very well to a combination of milk

thistle, lipoic acid, selenium methionine and other supplements.

Blake

Weird question

Hi all,

I had a conversation with my cousin today about about health issues and

I found out that she has white stools and the Dr's are stumped.

Has anyone here had issues with that or know the cause?

She has liver and heart issues so her stools rotate in color between

normal, bloody(black) then white. She has tried to figure out a

pattern between how she feels or what she has eaten but no pattern has

emerged.

Any ideas?

Blessings,

Marti Z.

Blake,

Thank you so much. This jives with the symptoms she

mentioned - pain on right side, poor digestion, stool

color. This will help her tremendously.

That is called the startle effect. I used to experience it regularly.

What is the name or cause of the jerking motions or jumping when

falling asleep. I am not talking about restless leg syndrome, it is

more of an overall body thing. Like waking up with a start but it

happens when you are about to fall asleep. I used to call it " the

sizzles " because it felt like electric sizzles down my limbs and in my

torso.

I would like to get to the bottom of this and take supplements to

protect my brain or nerve endings. I think it must be neurological.

Marti

Hi Marti,

I get it too, but I don't iknoe the name.

I also have the 'arms shooting out sideways, as if falling over

backwards reflex'. Do you have this too? It's he same as newborns

have,I've forgotten the name, they're supposed to loose it in the first

few months of life. It's often occurs in dyspraxia, but my reading

doesn't mention re-aquiring it in adulthood.

I was speaking with a mother of an Autistic boy with a different reflex

that should be lost in the first months of life. He's had a therapy

that involves running a paintbrush down his spine. he lost the reflex

and aquired much improved balance, co-ordination and motor function.

She's trying to find the details for me.

Hi Marti

I don't usually have the energy to post but just wanted to tell you

my perfectly well partner does this and that is exactly as he

describes it. It is very annoying because he wakes me up most

nights doing it! If you come up with anything let me know. Is it

more of a guy thing for example?

Cheers

Foxhillers says it is the startle syndrome and yes, it is just like

the newborn reflex.

I had this problem when I first got sick and it is starting to

resurface again along with other things that had gone away.

Currently, my balance is off to the left rear only. If I start

walking, I feel as if I am going to fall to the left rear. It is

more whole body rather than just arms.

I would be interested in the treatment you mentioned. Keep me posted

if you can.

Thanks,

Marti!

Hi! I have this jerking problem too! I usually get it in my head though. Just

as you start to relax it hits. The head jerks! I read somewhere that it is part

of MCS. I don't recall having had it in a while, but when it starts i usually

get it really bad.

Sounds like spasmodic torticollis, aka cervical dystonia.

Gil,

My problem is relaxing as I am about to fall asleep. I searched

sleep myoclonus and this seems to fit. If you are having this

problem at times other than sleeping then you could have myoclonus

(without the subset " sleep myoclonus " ) or what mentions above.

Worth searching on to get ideas on diagnosis and possible treatments.

Marti

Enough Magnesium + B6 in the cells will help with the startle effect --

myocolunus. At least, it did for me.

I would definitely throw it all out and find another scoby and always

keep a back up under tight seal.

Your bottle scoby that is somewhere, is that your raw brew? If it is

you can make another scoby out of it. Do your routine cleaning and

pour your raw kt in a jar and cover it like you would brew a batch.

In a week or so, you should have a baby and you can use that and the

fluid to make a new brew.

Good Luck!

I've just grown a 1/4 " thick one in a coffee jar using only strong

sugared tea and about 10-25% of starter and positively, definitely,

beyond doubt, NO mum SCOBY in, you might give that a whirl.
