Cammy Dierking of WKRC-TV (Channel 12) will be master of ceremonies for the

Arthritis Walk May 21 at Sawyer Point, downtown Cincinnati.

She has been involved with the Arthritis Foundation Walk for two years.

Dierking was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at age 10 and was

bedridden for nearly a year.

She has had several knee surgeries to stabilize her joints before getting a

total knee replacement in December 2005.

She has remained physically active, and has competed in seven marathons. She

also participates in swimming and cycling.

" I hope other patients, especially those who are newly diagnosed with

arthritis, will see that it is possible to remain active and to enjoy

life,'' Dierking said.

" The Arthritis Walk is a celebration and it is wonderful to see and feel the

love and support from everyone who takes part.''
