Say hello to Noddy hold-her!

LITTLE Cerys Tierney was over the moon when she met up with her idol

Noddy at Yorkhill Hospital.

The two-year-old, who was diagnosed with a rare form of arthritis in

November, has been attending the hospital every five weeks.

Her condition, which affects 1000 children in Scotland, has meant she

has had a series of painful steroid injections.

But Cerys was delighted to receive a visit from Noddy - the mascot for

the Arthritis Research Campaign.

Parents Jim, 49, and , 40, from Clydebank, discovered she had

the rare condition called Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis when trying to dress

his daughter. Mr Tierney said: " Our doctor first thought she had a

post-viral infection because she had just had chickenpox. "

Cerys will join Noddy and 300 others on a one-mile walk in

Bellahouston Park on May 6 to raise £5000 for the Arthritis Research

Campaign's Noddy Appeal.
