Guest guest
I have a question with regards to stomach problems and JRA. My daughter, ne, who is now 12 - I still can't believe it's been three years since she was diagnosed - the time has gone so fast but then so slow, has been having some stomach issues - more like IBS. We talked to her rheumy dr but she wants to hold off on putting her on a more meds unless she really has too. ne doesn't get stomach aches it just seems like food goes right through her. When she has to go, she HAS to go. I had to let the Middle school know so that she could have more passes than they allow for I didn't want her to have any accidents. I'm just wondering if any of your kids have any stomach issues and if it's the JRA or if it could just be related to all the meds she is on. Currently she is taking plaquenil, sulfasalazine, predisone, naproxen and her multi vitamin. We tried giving her lactaid incase she was having problems with dairy products but that didn't seem to help. It just added one more pill for her to have to take each time she ate. Please just let me know if anyone else has experienced any of this and if so what you have done to help. thanks so much - Kim Summerhill & ne (12 yrs JRA)
