I apologize for my ignorance on this issue of flushing, but I am wondering

if it can help my daughter. I have long thought that there was something

underlining that brought on her seizures, although she has only has a few. Ever

since a year ago, when she started to have severe GI issues (constipation

mainly and gas) and wasn't as healthy, that's when the seizures started. So, I

have been trying to not have her medicated. We are on a modified atkins diet and

so she isn't eating junk anymore. She is sleeping much better too.

But this flushing sounds interesting. Do you do it on your own or need a

doctor to oversee? Are there any signs/symptoms that would tell you that you

could need this flushing?

Thanks, Carolyn from NJ

Everyone in the world needs to flush out there organs. Example, would you ever

get a car and never change the oil, if you didn't the oil gets old and dirty and

your car would not run anymore, your body is no different.

How you tell about constipation a normal functioning symptoms you will poop 2

to 3 times a day. The liver you can not tell at least I never could feel all the

stones, but you sure can feel that you feel better after doing the liver flush

you will see problems go away. Kidneys you urine should be pale yellow to almost

clear and odorless.

Drinking water is very important to help flushing of every kind. Dehydration

is the underlying problem to everything, you simply need water.

As far as a Doctor overseeing this good luck, I would love to find on that

would. I desperately search for my son and it was a complete dead end. So just

like in my case I took it into my own hands and I had to take responsibility to

everything that I have done. AT first when all this happened to my son, I

thought I knew exactly what to do but incorporating on someone else even a 8

year child it has to be gently and takes time. It has to be the person even a

child wants to help themselves because as you all now there is crappy food

everywhere they go.

Favorite for my son is Dr s Kid d Lax go to www.herbsfirst.com I

think myself it taste pretty darn good and I also got him Dr Schulzes

www.herbdoc.com Intestinal #3 which is for kids but I don't think it taste as

good as Dr. C. Start with that and see what you think and sometimes I double and

even triple the dose if he had been going. Another thing to keep in mind when a

person is sick it is all starts with the colon or liver.

Another website that I thought you might be interested in is

www.westonprice.com an expert on fats and such, tell me what you think if that

is helpful. A great cookbook that is recommended on there is Nourishing

Traditions that lady has done some research she give you reason why we need to

prepare things the way our ancestors did, it really started bringing more of

this together for me.

Carolyn,

Are you supplementing magnesium? Most children with epilepsy are low on

magnesium and it will help constipation. Also look into pro-biotics

(healthy bacteria that is very low in the modern day diet) as the

introduction of more of these to the gut can correct the ecology and

make the bowels work properly as they are meant to do. Most kids will

benefit from a 3 month course of adding pro-biotics about 3 times a

day. After that once a day dosing will keep things in order - unless

they go on a course of anti-biotics for an infection which will wipe

out the good bacteria and you will be starting all over again.

Wow ! I am very impressed and urge you to always continue to go with

your gut. I think there must be a connection with my daughter as well to her

stomach problems/constipation and the few seizures she has had as well as diet.

Carolyn,

The seizures started in August 2004, he took depakote for several months

Oct-Jan 2004.From Jan-May he was taking the depakote but it was a hit a miss

sort of thing. I finally stopped working and when he was finished with school he

stopped taking the drugs completely. That is the way it went.

Well over time his diet change as well I was able to implement healthier

items into his life.

The first couple of seizures where grand mal. Starting with last summer I was

able to keep better track of his health since it was much easier to focus on him

now. Every 3 weeks he would get a headache, throw up, then sleep for a couple of

hours, then it turn into headache, then sleep, then it went to just a headache.

I was talking to someone about that and she said the larva (parasites) re

hatches every 3 weeks, I worked on parasite at the beginning with him but forgot

about it. I thought that is the only thing that makes sense that it goes in 3

week intervals.

Also I want to add the seizures I also link to the food he was eating as

well, when he would hit the breads and carbs hard a problem would shortly

follow. Those type of foods turn into alcohol in your system if you gut is off

balance they do not process right. Parasites and yeast feeds off these type of

high carb foods.

Now for where we are at now, when that gal brought parasites to my attention,

I thought it is the only thing that makes sense. So him and I started on the

parasite cleanse http://curezone.com/clark/parasites.asp , Now half way threw

the parasite cleanse, he had a Grand Mal seizure he has not experience anything

like that sense the beginning a year and a half ago. So what I am hoping that

happened he was experiencing a healing crisis and the cleanse made a parasite

rear it ugly head. I will keep you posted as time goes on if your interested. It

will be 3 weeks this Saturday since that happened, so we will see what happens.

He has been feeling great sense.

When that seizure happen several weeks ago, that was the first one I seen.

The other times that happen it was at daycare or school. It scared me to death

and there was moments that I really questioned my belief, " Am I doing the right

thing? " I will just keep taking day by day and time will tell. I always have to

remember that they told me MS was not curable and I cured it. It is just harder

when your not in the body to know what exactly is going on but we have come a

far way and seeing him on those drugs and what it was doing to him was awful..

If you read my story at www.ginakopera.com . We I was lead into this natural

healing I was not on a search for it nor did I believe in it, I thought people

that though this way were insane, now look at me!! LOL.

I do not use any supplements, I will use herbs to help. My main theory is

just what the Hippocrates say is, " Let food be thy Medicine and medicine will be

thy. " Even yourself you know what your body feels like when you consume good

things verses bad things and what it does to the body. My beliefs are all the

nutrients are in what we consume from food veggies, fruit, grains, nuts, milk ,

dairy and oils etc.. You want to get food in its healthiest state as well and as

much live food as possible. Do not forget as much organic as possible, it makes

a huge difference. What I have learned overtime is how to prepare food where

you to can get the most out of it. If your interested there is a awesome

cookbook, Sally Fallon who wrote it really has done some research, it is called

Nourishing Traditions. All this might sound overwhelming but trust me it is not

and you take one step at a time. If your interested it gets pretty exciting the

more you learn and how you can heal yourself.

Carolyn,

I forgot to answer you question on what I give my son. We just finished the

parasite cleanse but still following up once a week probably for a year we will

do that if all goes well, Formula #2 and Superfood www.herbdoc.com and B and B

tincture www.herbsfirst.com

For my son I put it in capsules so it is all tasteless for him, that makes it

easy.

There is one problem I see with getting all of our nutrients from our food

supply, it's not there. The level of nutrients, especially trace minerals

are woefully lower than the data out there suggests. Most of the data on

the levels of nutrients in our food is from the 50's and 60's. Since then

our soils are being depleted of nutrients at a rapid rate. Not suprisingly

the two minerals most depleted are magnesium and zinc, both of which are

critical for epileptics.

Hi Mark,

This is the part I hate sharing my story because of the controversy with

other peoples ideas. I always feel that someone thinks I am knocking them short

of what there beliefs are. I am truly not, I just want to help others, just to

let them know there's is more out there. If it wasn't my father doing it for me

I would never been able to put the pieces together as I did. I always believed

this happened to me to help others, I do not want a thing from anyone. You can

use whatever info you get from me and do with it as you choose.

I personally have tried so many supplements in fact when I first started

following this route to healing, I went and bought every vitamin and supplement

that it listed in the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing, I spent about

$300.00 on all that and it didn't do me any good. That is where I came up with

the conclusion that those supplements are no different for me then those drugs

were, it is all made in a factory. They do not grow on a tree it is not a living

matter and I didn't have any healing with them like I did with Live Juicing and

just plain water that gave me fast action and results in hours from consuming

it. I have tried both side and my personal success with healing MS was to do it

naturally.

About the food, that is why Organic is important, you get 5 to 10 times the

nutrients. I agree with you about the soil not being the same as it use to be

but buying organic helps. It also taste better.

Again truly I am not trying to step on anyone toes but maybe some of my ideas

can be useful to someone.

One other thing I wanted to add where we get the magnesuim from:

Green vegetables such as spinach provide magnesium because the

center of the chlorophyll molecule contains magnesium. Nuts, seeds, and some

whole grains are also good sources of magnesium.

Although magnesium is present in many foods, it usually occurs in small amounts.

As with most nutrients, daily needs for magnesium cannot be met from a single

food. Eating a wide variety of foods, including five servings of fruits and

vegetables daily and plenty of whole grains, helps to ensure an adequate intake

of magnesium.

The magnesium content of refined foods is usually low. Whole-wheat bread, for

example, has twice as much magnesium as white bread because the magnesium-rich

germ and bran are removed when white flour is processed. The table of food

sources of magnesium suggests many dietary sources of magnesium.

Water can provide magnesium, but the amount varies according to the water

supply. " Hard " water contains more magnesium than " soft " water. Dietary surveys

do not estimate magnesium intake from water, which may lead to underestimating

total magnesium intake and its variability.

Table of Food Sources of Magnesium Food Milligrams %DV * 100

(RDA). They were developed to help consumers determine if a food contains very

much of a specific nutrient. The DV for magnesium is 400 milligrams (mg). The

percent DV (%DV) listed on the nutrition facts panel of food labels tells adults

what percentage of the DV is provided by one serving. Even foods that provide

lower percentages of the DV will contribute to a healthful diet.

No offense taken at all. What I want to bring out is that even with organic

food, the nutrient density is not as high as we think it is. The difference

between organic and conventionally grown foods is not 5 to 10 times higher

most of the time. Research suggests that it is more like even to 3 times

higher on the whole and there are some exceptions. There are better enzymes

and the taste is definitely better with organic and it is something I

believe in strongly.

Mark,

I am just glad, I didn't offend you. When all this happen to me, I thought

everyone was going to be so excited that I have found answers to there health

problems that they could take care of themselves, just as I have.

Well I ran up against a wall of pessimism. There were many times I thought

this was more of a curse then a blessing. I wanted to help the world and I

thought most of all what touched home was MS at the time, there the least

concerned. Not to many want to help or believe that they can help themselves. I

always have to remind myself though I thought the same at one time as well.

If you read my story at www.ginakopera.com . We I was lead into this

natural healing I was not on a search for it nor did I believe in it, I

thought people that though this way were insane, now look at me!! LOL.

I do not use any supplements, I will use herbs to help. My main theory

is just what the Hippocrates say is, " Let food be thy Medicine and medicine

will be thy. " Even yourself you know what your body feels like when you

consume good things verses bad things and what it does to the body. My

beliefs are all the nutrients are in what we consume from food veggies,

fruit, grains, nuts, milk , dairy and oils etc.. You want to get food in its

healthiest state as well and as much live food as possible. Do not forget as

much organic as possible, it makes a huge difference. What I have learned

overtime is how to prepare food where you to can get the most out of it. If

your interested there is a awesome cookbook, Sally Fallon who wrote it

really has done some research, it is called Nourishing Traditions. All this

might sound overwhelming but trust me it is not and you take one step at a

time. If your interested it gets pretty exciting the more you learn and how

you can heal yourself.

Sincerely

Wow ! I am very impressed and urge you to always continue to go with

stomach problems/constipation and the few seizures she has had as well as

diet.

What supplements do you use for you and your son?thanks, Carolyn

Hi :

Yeah! I get a lot of skeptics and people who think I am nuts when I tell

them about some of the stuff I do. They suffer for years and then one day some

health practitioner tells them the same thing I have been saying for years and

they act like they discovered America all over again! I figure if you don't

listen, you are where you need to be at the moment. More learning to come when

the time is right.

thanks,

linda

Absolutely. Organic food is superior to non-organic hands down. I buy

organic whenever I can.
