Guest guest
Hello all: I spoke with Val this afternoon. As you may remember Robbie is in the hospital with a systemic flare. He is doing ok, day 2 of steroid pulse. They are giving him over 600 mg each pulse. Needless to say it is causing mood swings! But he is doing very well despite all that. When we spoke he was working on his homework! He is quite an amazing kid. He did have some leg pain this morning despite all the solumedrol. Val sounded tired but upbeat, because the new ped rheumy appt is monday! She is very hopeful that this is going to change everything for Robbie. I am too! We have just all got to think that they'll jump on new meds and aggressively try to get things under control. He'll get the third and final steroid pulse tomorrow and hopefully then go home. Please keep them in your prayers! and Rob 15 Spondy
Guest guest
Thanks for the update. I have been praying for Robbie and Val and hoping that everything was going safely for them. I am sure that Val must be anxious for the Monday appointment. I hope they come up with a good plan of attack for Robbie. Thanks again for keeping us informed. Guest guest
, Please give Val and Robbie phone hugs from us. I pray that he finally gets more aggressive treatment that won't interfere with the kidneys and all that other stuff, after all the numerous doctor run- arounds (for various reasons). Holy bugaboo--600mg steroid pulse!!!! I pray so hard it works this time. Stacia and Hunter 8 systemic, iritis
Guest guest
Hi, , I just wanted to say Thank You, so very much, for taking the time to send us all an update on Robbie and Val's hospital stay. It really touches my heart, to see the caring and thoughtfulness shared amongst our group's members. I used to be so actively involved here for the first five years and with all the events and changes of this past year, I've basically taken a back-seat sort of role. It brings me so much joy to see how people such as yourself (and others, far too many to list all but you know who you are, old members as well as new friends) have stepped right up to offer a helping hand and keep everything running so smoothly ... and most especially, to witness the bonds and friendships that have been formed. Not in my absence, per se, as I'm still here and still read all the messages but it's so wonderful to know that there are so many kind and generous people who are so willing to share their time, their knowledge, and their selves with others who are struggling with arthritis, to help however they can. Thank you, all of you. With Much Aloha, Georgina snooksmama@... wrote: > > Hello all: > I spoke with Val this afternoon. As you may remember Robbie is in the hospital with a systemic flare.
