Guest guest
Thanks to everyone who put their great two cent in about his rash. It's been a week, and this morning he seems to be rash-free. I started the Zyrtec back up yesterday and will continue it as a daily med. from now on, again. My panic is gone, but back to one day at a time mode. Stacia and Hunter 8 systemic, iritis
Guest guest
Glad the rash has cleared. Perhaps it was an allergic thing after all. takes Zyrtec too - it works the best for his allergies. Hope that rash stays gone. Guest guest
Hi Stacia, Catching up with some of the posts, I was so happy to read that Hunter's rash has disappeared! I understand exactly how you must have felt upon seeing it. and I were both so shocked when, after having no systemic-type rash for a few YEARS, it suddenly re-appeared with this last flare. Neither of us wanted to admit it might actually be what we feared. Can't beat myself up about it now but, of course, I do wonder if we might have averted the worst of it had we acted sooner. When Josh flew over to JRA Camp at the start of the school year we had even packed his Plaquenil along with his current meds (which was down to basically his Indomethacin and Cytotec). We had suspicions and sent it along in case the doc thought he should re-start it. Well, Josh didn't even have the doctor examine him at camp! Told him he was feeling great ... for those three days. One week later, the fevers and morning stiffness started up again. I hope that, for Hunter, the rash he had is completely unrelated. And that it doesn't make a comeback.
