Guest guest Posted June 5, 2004 Report Share Posted June 5, 2004 Becky i think this one has a lay over in dallas also lolol i went out today to the airport and watched those planes with each one i said to myself ok now try staying up there for 30 minutes first lololol watching those come in and out of the airport is fun lolol hubby even said if you could get to walk the big bridge it would help or go up on the 10th floor of a building and look out a window would help soooooooo i know of 2 walk bridges 1 is over the highway the other over the train tracks lololol i am going to try that this week but yes i might just be flying by july lololol or my sister will be going with melissa yall will get to see her lolol Robbin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I jiust lean the seat back and go to sleep! And I got confidence in you darlin, I know yall can do it. Strut your stuff over that thar bridge, then next step flying. Once you have flown for the first time you;ll wonder way you never did before. Guest guest Posted June 12, 2004 Report Share Posted June 12, 2004 Robbin, I flew for the first time ever when Donna and I first started FACES and I was 37. We went to Alabama to be counselors at the MASH camp. I was frantic, I'd never flown nor had I really wanted to fly. But I did want so much to do that camp Mash with Donna. I was amazed , thrilled , nauseous and panicy all at the same time. I'll tell you what it felt like to me. I was on an inside row seat so I could see out a window IF I wanted to look but most of the time did not look! When we were taking off I had put gum in my mouth because I knew that my ears would start popping. So I concentrated on ..and counted my chewing of my gum. It got loud but not louder than a roller coaster is when your on it, then we took off and I felt even more like I was riding a roller coaster ..but a pretty weak one Chew chew 124 , 125 , chew , chew 145 , 146..190 then Donna spoke to me and It was all over we were in the air and hit turbulance once which just felt Like I was riding in the back of my dad's camper and it was being tossed around every time a big truck went speeding past us. The landing was less than the take off and I even travel with my scooter nowadays. So You better just get yourself to the amusement park ..hop on a couple roller coasters to get used to it and then jump on that plane cause we can't wait to see to guys and will be really sad if you don't show.
