Guest guest
Hi , Sorry you didn't get any real answers but it does sound like you found a careing rheumy that isn't just blowing things off. I got a little confused by your post.Is Aundrea starting pred? The Plaquenil you can give at any time.It can take as long as 3-6 months to work though. If you are talking about the pred it needs to be given between 7 and 8am when the body is producing it natuaraly.Good luck and I hope the meds help. Guest guest
This to sound like my Dr., this has been going on for about 6 years and we get different diagnosis all the time. > > Anyway, she said Aundrea has a rheumatological problem > of some sort with no known diagnosis at this time. I > guess that is both good and bad news. She did say > that without joint inflammation it is very unlikely > that Aundrea would have any joint destruction at this > point so there was no need for any x-rays. My daughter to has joint pain with out inflammation, it is very consistent. The Dr. did diagnose with Spondlarpthy (Sp?) several years ago, but also fibromyalgia. Basically, he doesnt know; however, she get worse each year. He now keeps saying that she is quite an enigma. Because of the joint pain, but no swelling. Now it seems like there are plenty of kids around with that. You can read about Sadie Dr. Appt from today. I have no answer for you, we are kind of in a frustrated crisis stage right now. The only thing I can offer is I defiantly understand were you are coming from. If you don't mind I will pray for you and your family. Guest guest
Hi : Sounds like a typical appointment with more question left unanswered. So many rheumatoid diseases mimic eachother it's so frustrating. Now you have a rheumy on board to help figure out exactly what is happening to Aundrea. Did you like the rheumy? Feel comfortable with her, etc.? What did Aundrea think of her? I have always given Caitlin her Plaquenil in the morning. Fortunately, she hasn't had any problems with it. I hope Aundrea tolerates it with ease. I hope this offers Aundrea some relief and soon. Did the rheumy have any specific disorders she was leaning towards? Did she take more labs? Take care. Guest guest
Hi : Sorry to hear Aundrea is still hurting. Poor kid has been through enough already. I think a C is pretty darn good for missing five weeks of school. I think she should look at the C's for courageous! How did she do today at school? Did you let her go all day or take her home early for a soothing soak in the tub? I hope she is feeling pain free soon. Take care.
