Guest guest Posted March 7, 2004 Report Share Posted March 7, 2004 Hi Patty, I think that may have been a slight error attributable to the story reporter's scant knowledge of the diagnosing of JRA. As others have said, there are tests (as we all know) that are often performed that may help guide physicians towards the diagnosis and there are tests to rule out other diseases and conditions whose symptoms may mimic those of arthritis but there still is not one definitive diagnostic test for JRA. That would truly be a great milestone though, to find a particular marker that ALWAYS and DEFINITELY signifies presence of JRA!
