I have completely changed my diet. Not just because of JRA but I also have GERD (acid reflux). I only drink water and every once in awhile I'll have some juice but not often. I don't eat fast food or incredibly fatty foods or tons of sugar. Mostly fish, chicken, or these soy products that taste like meat but its not (they are suprising really yummy), and a lot of vegatables and salads. I have yet to see a change in either of my disease.. but I did lose 10 lbs.. of course that was 10 lbs I wasn't suppose to lose.. LoL I think I'm one of the only people who doesn't like losing weight.. It was funny I was at my rheumis on Friday and she was laughing at me saying I'm in my first year of college most people gain weight not lose it.. Oh well I've never been normal. The diet does help with energy levels a bit.. but that is the extent to which it helps..

(poly JRA and spondy, 19)

melissa stopped drinking milk when we found out milk will congest a asthmatic more this is so true recently hubby was in the hospital due to this reaction to milk dairy products

the hospital dietian told me not to get reg milk anymore but to buy soy milk what a remarkable change melissa and my hubby says it tastes like real milk theres regular vanilla and chocolate

the vanilla one is the best i myself dont drink milk of any type

i know i went through the test with food i eliminated foods which had MSG in it certain foods high in acid then went to fruits

make a journal and write down everything the child eats the how the pain is this will help to determine if a food needs to be stopped
